A urine sample? Really? They didn't take her blood pressure or feel her pulse or take her temperature or ask for a blood test? A urine sample of all things. Really?

First I just want to say that I have loved your story. The plot is really good and developed. This is the first review I have ever wrote because I feel like I have to. The turn you have taken in the plot sucks. I can see that he is afraid that his child would be born deaf but that is not a real reason to abort a child. If he thinks that "normal" children don't get picked on, then he is living in a fantasy. Nobody is ever normal.

While deafness is hereditary it is much more complicated than that. It's not just his genes but hers as well that make up the baby. Deafness is recessive so is she was a carrier there would only be a 25% chance of having a deaf child.

I take this very personally because I am Pro-choice and both of my parents. My mother was 41 years old when she had me and my father is physically disabled and they were told by the doctors that I will probably be born with down syndrome. They kept pushing her to abort me but she said no. I was born perfectly health. I think there is no good reason to abort a baby and when parents do it is for selfish reasons.

Amazing and breath taking story i loved it a lot , it took me in a ride full of emotions :)

I'm starting to think I may have read this story before it's starting to sound familiar. Oh well we will see. They are so sweet together. I'm sure he left the room due to his bulging pants! Hehe!

I definitely understand both sides of the issue here, especially from Edward's perspective. My husband and I had a similar conversation. We decided that the odds were still much higher to have a "normal" child, and if the child had inherited the disability, at least we were is a great position to know how to help him.
