I love this series. Everyone is in character, and I like the aspect of Christine and Erik being able to almost read eachothers minds. It's hard to really describe, but that part felt 'true'. I also enjoyed how you wrote Meg's character and her reaction to hearing the Phantom's music.

I have to disagree with your betas, in a way, but it does come down to the perspective of your readers. I feel that a story acts as a snap shot of a moment in time. In this case Erik happens to be happy because he is retelling the story of a happy moment in his life. When I read your comment about what some of your betas have said, I quite easily pictured him having nightmares and going through sad, depressed, moments because of everything that has happened to him and everything he has done. Just because he happens to be happy in this story doesn't mean he has forgotten.

I'm not sure if you are still interested in a title for this one, but one actually came to mind. Near the end of the story, Erik refers to Christine and Marguerite as "an angel and a cherub". Why not call the story that?

How about "In Bright Shadow"? I thought the story was an excellent way to end the series, but feel free to continue!

He can forget because, when it comes to Christine, he's a romantic. I think you did a very good job and I like the idea of him as a dad.

This story is not stupid or ridiculous! :D

I'm always ecstatic when Christine chooses the Phantom...he really deserves to be happy in her love!

You requested a suggestion, mine is on a whole different pairing and won't wor with this series.

But , do you think that there is room for an Erik/Meg thing? Let me explain! Christine and Roul -or how ever you spell it- are together. But I noticed that in both the book and the opera Meg knows a great deal about "The Phantom" but she never tells the managers or the police untill lives are on the line.

I think I love it...sappy or not. Which it isn't, actually. I think I beat you in the sappy catagory...I have a story called "madeline'sreturn" and...none of my friends will even dare to read it. ...I know how you feel. The majority of my story was wrote in three days. I look back on it going-"I did not write this-I'm not responsible". Maybe there is a phantom-and he's a ghostwriter..LOL j/k
