This was really well thought out, this dynamic between harry and severus is alot more realistic that a father/son bond. I like that you made it clear that neither were stable enough to have that type of relationship with each other. I would like to have seen harry lay into sirius once he realised it was abuse. Honestly though this was a very enjoyable read!

I loved and appreciated how you made it clear that Dumbledore is nothing but a manipulative bastard that needs to learn from his mistakes without demanding anything from Severus. Minerva could be a good mother figure if not too strict for her own good. Harry and Severus' friendship is so beautiful. I want to know about Draco's letter though and the reply of Snape. Kudos!

This was one of the best stories I've read on this site! I literally had tears in my eyes at a couple points!
I am a major advocate for therapy and fir must personally, to figure out the why behind the why and how things connect in my life. This story showed a pretty realistic account and I am glad it was realistic, yet had some lighthearted moments too.
It made me think fondly of my own counsellors and reaffirm my desire to be in a helping-people-type-counsellor-position-thingy. XD

It is so rare to see someone show such care for the Potions Master! He had no one on his side. Dumbles, Riddle, and his "friends" in Slytherin used him. I do not approve of his childish and abusive behavior toward Harry but his own life was so full of pain.

Ah. Of course, thinking up torture methods is the best therapy!

This story is very touching. I would love to see how you progressed this story, it was well thought out and I really liked how both Severus and Harry had someone to lean on. You're a very talented writer. Thank you for the story.

but I feel that Sirius, irrespective of how much he hates Snape, would never ever do that to a six year himself was treated quite badly in his childhood so he knows how much it can hurt I FEEL that he would not want another child get hert the same way..Well just my personal opinion of course.

I'm vaguely incoherent right now, certainly nothing like my review of The Better Man. But. This was great. Your stories are amazing (if a little emotionally taxing). Your characterisation is, as in Better Man, very interesting to me. And I love it. I also wanted to say that your OCs are cool. I like all of them, and you're great at making them.
Another thing I enjoyed about this story is that you removed Sev from the toxic environment he was in. I read a story once (probably a few years ago), where Severus attempted suicide and was then confined to the headmaster's quarters and (I think) had his wand taken from him. It left a bad feeling with me then, so I doubly appreciate your story, not only as a good read, but also as a bit of an antidote for that one. Thanks for writing.
