I think you know how much I loved this by now ;)

I really liked how Mrs Adams and Jenny came together, and how Flack and Angell finished (I'm on SUCH a Flack/Angell kick after this. It, like, JUST hit me that she's died). As much as I would have prefered a different ending for Mac and Stella (eg, kiss!) how you ended them was perfectly in character and true to their relationship.

I particularly liked the line about how Mac's responabilities were to "protect and serve, always faithful", bringing in the Marine sentiment too. Nicely done :)

Absolutely brilliant way to end a fantastic story! I loved every word. Every last little detail was explained beautifully; I am left with no questions about what happened past or present. And now, after reading this story, I'm actually thinking about writing a bunch of letters. Don't know if they'll be to real people or someone that only exists in my mind, but I think I'm going to do it! Thanks for granting me the pleasure of reading this amazing story!

Oh, interrogations! I love interrogations! More so when the guy actually confesses, but this one was excellent. I can totally see Angell beating up guys twice her size in grade school. That was an excellent touch. Please don't have Mac get in trouble over this. I would've done the same thing!

Well, I loved the confrontation between Mac and Stella. You've got them both down so perfectly, I almost think I'm watching the show! And now I can have a little party because Danny's awake! Love you for not killing him off!

Okay, I had to review this one. I was going to scream at you for killing Danny, but you brought him back, so all's forgiven. Yeah, never trust the nervous nurses. Professionals are confident and know what they're doing. Great chapter!

I love this chapter because 1. It's awesome, which is to be expected.

2. Open your eyes at the beginning of every stanza adds just enough of either a hopeful element or a creepy one to keep you wanting just a little bit more, and then you're finally somewhat satisfied at the end when she finally does open them.

3. You've got the characters down, pat, and I can totally see everything they're doing like it's in front of me on the show.

So, I'm currently on Chapter 18, but I backtracked to review this one. Excellent, excellent, excellent. So thrilled they found Stella, whether she's dead or not! I prefer not, of course.

I found this way late in the game, and still have a way to go, but I finally have the opportunity to review so...

I wanted to let you know how incredible this has been so far. It has truly kept me hooked from the first chapter, to the point where I'm reading to and from work on the train, in my lunch break and -with some creativity- during work aswell ;)

It amazes me how well you have the characters down, every single one, and how you are able to make even the original characters capitivating to me (which proves a feat for fic OCs).

It is incredibly well written and the story, plot and narrative are all vivid and compelling.

Really, I am in awe of this story (It makes me want to both hang up my pencils and yet write more at the same time. It is confusing to be me.) and cannot wait for the remaining 11chapters.

It's so like Stella to want to see where she was found, and to meet Zee, of course.

Another pair of sweet moments with each of them gently touching the other's scar. Innocent and intimate, the best kind.

Hehe, who knew that buying shirts could be so *fun?*

FABULOUS job with this entire story. I'm sad to see it end, but glad there's a happy ending. Thank you for caring about your craft and for penning such beautiful, touching words.

Beautiful glimpses into Lindsay's visit with Stella. I've always loved the dynamic between these two, and it's strengthened by this scene.

Yay! We finally know the recipient of the letters! It's been bugging me since the beginning. :)

Love the scene between Stella and Danny. It's apparent that they love each other-in a brother-sister way-because he risked his life for her, and she's angry because he did so.

Hehe, would've loved to have seen 'the shave.' (Random, but it reminds me of a CSI fic I wrote a long time ago...)

Lovely moment between Stella and Danny as they agree that they shouldn't be there, but they've both gotten a second chance.

Okay, leave of absence. Hawkes is right, that will do Mac good.

I love a good mystery, and I love the fact that the one real letter-with all the real information-was the one that got away, the one Lindsay found.

Good for Mac, owning up to his mistakes...not that I ever doubted he would.

'Together.' Such a nice word, especially when it refers to Mac and Stella. Together. It just fits.

Fun to see all the teasing between Flack and Angell.

And still they're able to be professionals when need be.

'She patted the bed in question, “Sit down, we’ll trade places. You take the bed this time.”

Her smile softened as she studied his face, “Where’d you go last night? I hope you made it to your apartment, if you still remember where you live that is.”' Hehe, I *love* this. It's definitely good to see Stella returning to normal.

Ah, he can't deny her anything! Wonderful ending to this chapter.

Angry Mac is still a bonus, and it's so touching that he's willing to risk his career, everything, to make Rich suffer for what he did to Stella and Danny.

I knew Flack would get through to Mac, but I loved the way you wrote Mac's deflating. People can only hold on for so long before they break.

'Consequences of violence?' *gulp* That can't be good.

Love the psychological aspect of this. I'm chiding myself for not picking up sooner on all the reasons Rich is who he is, but the pieces are certainly falling into place, and I'm thoroughly engrossed.

Hehe, Flack's never going to win an argument against Angell either!

'Unseen above the city, Mac removed his badge, held it with his hands and with his eyes and then laid it on the desk. He slid to the floor and sat staring into the darkness that wound round him.' One of my favorite lines from the whole story. Perhaps because the image is so vivid.

Lovely ending, once again showing what many people are doing at a single moment in time.

Angst is good!
