From your title and description I though that Harry will be the dark lord. The story is okeyish, I've read very similar stories before. Mostly I don't like that you made Harry super powerful, but didn't actually include him in any fighting. As you've dropped this story half way through, I can't really review it properly.

Daphne is often used as a pretty Slytherin neutral. I don't like that she was the one who almost died and is disfigured. Any of the darker Slytherins would have worked.

This has so far been quite a good story but... Harry getting himself a horcrux just by changing the ritual is a bit to far fetched, maybe even a dumb idea.
