Reviews for Red Moon |

![]() ![]() ![]() I read this story a few years ago and I just came across it again a few weeks ago; a text file of a magical era, lost among the depths of the computer. And it still brings a tear to my eye and a guffaw to my mouth (much to the dismay of my immediate company) whenever I even think of this. A work of pure genius, I must repeat, pure genius. This deserves far more recognition than it's given credit for! Infact, you have been one of few who have inspired me to write! At a time when there had been more than enough people who write without getting anywhere, there has been that few, who I had admired, to make sure I try to do the best I do, instead of pump out drivel that is more and more common (that is to say that not everyone's work is drivel, mind you, just that most of many budding writers do not even bother with the even basics of etiquette for the art). However, now checking your website, I've found that you haven't written in a long time. A long, long time. Perhaps you may have found yourself unappreciated enough, or perhaps you found personal cause to move on. And just stepped-away, like others before me, "two-flower" and Jason Wong. No pained goodbyes. No words of parting. Not even a single note. But for whatever reason that maybe, my sole regret would be not having able to commend you on your work earlier as so that you may recognise it then. So, even if you may not read this soon, or even ever, I'll say it now. Dear Fire, I salute you. And I take up your pen in our good cause. |
![]() ![]() ![]() rofl. this is one of the most funny sailor moon humor fics i have ever read. |
![]() ![]() ![]() LOL. That was great! BTW Someone commented that communism always failed because of corruption. It's perfectly true! However if she uses the crystal to brainwas. . . I mean cleanse everyone of darkness and evil *grin* communism would work! |
![]() ![]() Actually, if you write a second chapter, I'd like to see what will happen when Sailor Pluto gets involved. Also, someone should point out to Usagi that all of the attempts at communism have failed due to corruption. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I can't believe you havn't had more reviews for this! It is a really great piece of work that I would dearly love to see more of should any sequels arise. Moon's justice speaches were fantastic fun, and Minako and Artemis' appearance at the end was the perfect way to bring the inner senshi together. I wonder what Chibi-usa would be like... I do feel sorry for Luna though! Great stuff here. |
![]() ![]() This was GREAT!. Keep this up and things will work out just fine. And please do continue. |
![]() ![]() great story keep on writing maybe even a sequal |
![]() ![]() When I found this fic in the archives of , I initially wasnt too impressed with the title. "Red Moon"? Sounded like something to do with blood or wrath, I figured it might make a halfway-decent read before I went to bed. I was so so wrong...this fic was not a halfway-decent read. It was a spectacular read. After the first few paragraphs, I was hooked. By the time I actually had to scroll down, I knew I wouldnt stop until I had read the entire thing. The title meaning became obvious, and I applauded the ingeniousness of it, it fits the story perfectly! I was laughing and marvelling the entire time at the witty but extremely thought-provoking nature of this fic! This one is pure gold! Not only is "Red Moon" delightfully entertaining, it actually manages to claim that incredibly elusive status of not only being fun, but being educational. I know, I can see you cringe already, but for once, its true. I learned more about modern communism in the hour I spent reading this than I did during that entire series we did on it in high school. By the time I was done with this, I was all geared up to go join the Communist Party, this fic was that good. My sole complaint about the fic lies in the last three words: "End of story." This cant be the end! This was too good! I want more! Im dying to see what happens when the second season rolls around! When the Black Moon comes back from the future, what has happened there? Has Usagi made her communist utopia? Or has the Black Moon come back from an alternate future more in line with the cannon we know, thus allowing the Senshi to travel forward and hopefully let Usagi have a political discussion and observation on the faults of the Crystal Tokyo of Neo-Queen Serenity (of course, given that the Black Moon are rebels from that society, I think Usagi would already have made up her mind about it). No wait! Even better! The Black Moon comes back from communist-Usagi's utopic future as capitalist rebels! The possibilities abound! So please, Fire, write more of this! (and if you're the same Fire who writes Vengeance and a Half, please put up another chapter of that too!) |
