-tear- So sad. Everyone's writing Donna drabbles. I should go write one too...

Ha-HA! So I was right! We *do* have the same brain! Maybe we had a human-human metacrisis/metacrosis/whatever the doctor called it! Basically, I was going to write something almost identical to this, but you beat me to it. :( Hmm. Mine was going to be a bit different, though, (focusing on more specific aspects of her life) so maybe I'll still write it-if you don't mind, that is.
I loved Donna. I thought the series 4 ending was much more sad than series 2, and I liked the fact that they didn't have to play up the sadness of it (no Donna Noble at the beginning of the episode saying, "This is the story of how I died." Donna's better than that.) And Catherine Tate is brilliant-showing how her brain is shutting down in a way that should be humorous but she manages to make terrible and tragic... okay, I'll stop gushing now, but I really really like her, and I thought you do an amazing job here conveying that tragedy... the whole idea that she's missing *something* but doesn't know *what*... The living for dreams was marvelous. The best line was the last one:
"She dreams of saving the world. Then she cries, because it can never be."

Oh nice job.
Personally, I liked Donna, too. I know a lot of people didn't, but I think she turned out very well as a long-term character and I was sad after her ending.
Your fic describes exactly the kind of consequences I think there might be - a feeling of something missing, but with no knowledge of what it is or even where it came from. It was simple, to the point, and yet didn't skim over the feelings. Bravo!
