Standing ovation for this chapter, choosing not to show the fight but let us feel it trought Raph's eyes, WOW, I almost felt like I was on the other side of the door!
You changed the prospective, a writer's trick.
I loved the moment in the ambulance, Raph asking "permission" to end things with Karai, and then the image of Mikey on her way too...
I know you're getting closer to the end of the story, I'm excited and sad at the same time, can't wait for what's next!

awww Leo! that cliffhanger was evil! and that seemed to be foreshadowing about Mike to me there when Leo said "Of course, that's only if…Mikey doesn't beat you to it," and honestly, i hope Mikey is the one to take down Karai if Leo is unable to (it's almost cliche for Raph to do it if not Leo).

by the way you've written Mikey in this fic he has obviously become the "second Leonardo" as Leo has clearly been rubbing off on him (and Leo even admits it here).

and as for the rating, i don't think it's bad enough to rate an M, but i guess i'm more tolerant to violent stories than most. so maybe better safe than sorry?

I really wish I could give a super in-depth review like a bunch of other people undoubtedly will (and have), but I'm a bit short on time, and I figured that a short review is better than none at all. :) As you probably already know, this chapter was great! I loved Leo's interactions with the paramedics. Hilarious! I was totally grinning like an idiot. Mikey's mission is sure to be interesting! I can't wait to see what he'll do. It's nice to hear that Raph has complete faith in his brother. :) No love for Donnie, though, huh? XD Anyway, I really enjoyed this chapter!

Wow! Oh no, Leo! And nice touch that he was able to communicate with Raph not to let on to Mikey how hurt he was even in his state (haha Raph trying not to roll his eyes! xD). But, wow, that encounter with Karai was intense and, yeah, she's gone out of her damn mind! Poor Leo. Poor EMTs xD I totally busted up laughing at their reactions, haha! I do hope Leo will be okay, though. And, I'm anxious to see how this plays out with Donnie and Mikey's part of the plan. Especially now that's it's gonna be a bit, uh, revamped on the fly. Okay, I'm lame. I think I've written one comment about this awesome piece of drool worthy fanfiction. You get an A and then some.

I actually came across your writing during a debate on Deviantart. It's focus was on whether a good fanfic could be written about the guys becoming human. At that point, I had read, or partially read, so many poorly executed stories on that subject that I was vehemently opposed to any more such fanfictions being written. I didn't believe it could be done. The transformation was instantaneous with no repercussions or was solely for romantic interest and so on and so forth. And then someone gently pointed out "The More Things Change."

I have since repented of my evil ways and have become a convert. I absolutely LOVE this story. You have kept the characters themselves. I laugh out loud when you do a segment from Mikey's POV. It's just so HIM and I love the subtleness of them "growing up" or perhaps "growing out" is a better way to say it.

My favorite though, has to be Leonardo. I appreciate that you consider the awkwardness and the difficulty of going from a very small super concentrated dependent social circle of the guys' family to getting plopped directly into the jet stream of New York City. It's probably the fastest way out of Leo's comfort zone.

Oh, and I adore your original characters! They're so fun and so human and I absolutely have no objections to the furthering of their relationships with our four favorite turtles gone human. (Not that you need my permission or anything, its just that a lot of OCs tend to rub me the wrong way or ruin a story for me but, yours are such a lovely breath of fresh air! Heck, you'll see me on the sidelines with poms poms cheering them on.)

Anyway, you have yourself another addict. :) I watch my inbox everyday waiting for an update and when there is one, nothing had better stand between me and my computer monitor. Especially after this chapter! Down with CRAZY KARAI! I'm so impressed that you went to all that effort last chapter of setting up an elaborate strategy and plan, and then blew it out of the frigging water in this one! That is amazing writing - so much more realistic and of course it takes your reader completely by surprise. I almost spat dinner all over the screen when the first sword came through the door. My face was like this: O_O

Just a heads up on a typo - in the paragraph where Raph hears the paramedics coming up the stairs: " 'cause none of our enemies would [ever] be that loud".

So excited for the next chapter, especially since it looks like Don and Mikey's plans have gone out the window as well! Keep up the fantastic work! And pfff, don't stress too much about update times. OK, so you totally took me by surprise with this chapter. I wasn't expecting Karai to show (has really has lost her marbles!) and I literally gasped out loud when, like Raph, I realized what had happened to Leo. I'm just glad you didn't leave us on a cliffhanger wondering if he had been killed...

Not to say I'm not still worried about him. And Mikey too, now that he's going after Karai and Ryan. I really wanted Leo to be the one to take her down but now I agree that any of Leo's brothers deserve the honor after what she's done to him.

I think this can safely stay at a T rating. I got kinda queasy when Raph removed the swords but it wasn't as horridly graphic as it could've been.

I'm really looking forward to more... soon. ;)

I didn't check) and Raph sitting together in the waiting room while Leo's in surgery came to me and I'm torn between laughter and horror at the very idea. It's a little far-fetched but it just occurred to me. Yeesh I spend too much time watching TV (and reading FF but I refuse to quell my addiction). Awesome! Thanks for the new chapter! This was great, you've truly captured Karai's insanity levels well. Hopefully the bros' IDs and everything will stand up to the scruitiny of police procedure and hospital forms. The fight was intense, too.

Duuuuude...that was intense. I seem to be channelling my inner Mikey at the moment but wow, that was amazing. I'm in utter dismay that Leo was hurt by that backstabbing (literally) crazy ass b**** but it was well done. I REALLY hadn't expected that; after the last chapter I wasn't expecting the plan to go to hell in a hand basket in such a short space of time-before the plan even started really. What was I thinking? Although I do hope Don's part of the plan goes well and the crazy lady gets all her dirty laundry aired out publicly. Mind you that might happen with her publicly attacking Leo and kidnapping Ryan. WTH? I agree with Leo, she's gone completely round the bend.

Your writing of the chapter in Raph's POV was great; for such a complicated guy/turtle/whatever he is as blunt in his thoughts as he is when he speaks. I loved the line about the Foot being terrified of having Raph and Leo at their doorstep...of all of the turtles to have paying you a visit, they'd be the last ones you would want if you're up to no good. (Cackles). His view on things was great, his worry over his brothers, the way he unnerves the Foot soldiers and bugs his brother (naming his migraines after him, lol) and then finally his view on Karai herself.

Now I've been commenting from the last few chapters about her downward spiral but I was amazed and chilled by how completey unhinged she really has become. And I'm also really pissed she hurt Leo AGAIN in the same shoulder the...argh. Leo's going to be miserable after this isn't he? After all the talk of destiny and finishing her off-which my loyal inner fan girl stoutly declares he can still do even with two swords sticking out of him-of course he can-it's really going to get him that 'he let his brothers down' shtick. PLEASE tell me his brothers' will smack him if he gets close to that because as much as I love him, he is really not fun when he's mopey. I think Raph might be right he didn't realise the depth of Karai's hate, but I also think Leo might be right too, she is wayyyy more crazy than they all thought.

The idea of Mikey going after her...ooooh that's going to be REALLY interesting. Mikey will not take kindly to her. Hmm...constantly threatening their lives, trying to ruin their new lives, hurting his big brother AGAIN and kidnapping Ryan...I think he's gonna be really pissed. I think Raphael would be very proud of what his baby brother could do.

Well another chapter gone, Leo's hurt, Raph's pissed, the wicked witch has left the building and Turtle Titan Mike is on her tail. Damn that was a tense chapter and a nasty cliffhanger. I'll have you know I have never threatened to kill any author...I just pour on syrupy sweet charm and beg pitifully-it's too bad I can't achieve the puppy dog eyes in cyber space, but I'll get over it. I really hope life will be going well for you from now on and no, it's not just because you might update faster, I am actually a nice person.

Well... this is a twist I was not really seeing... Hello, I probably should have reviewed your story earlier because I have read all the chapters a few times and am madly in love with the story but this chapter... eh...

As a very strong lover of all things Leo I guess I just don't see Mikey, the fun loving brother, as the stronger, and wiser fighter. The chapter did a complete one eighty. Maybe your going to make it more showdown action-y? But that's hard to believe with Leo in a hospital... He's taken worse beatings before in the comics / cartoons that this just made me go huh? Well ok. -Sad- I really would have liked to see the fight scene end a little more... Well anyways...

Heres hoping to reading the next amazing chapter soon and seeing where the new plot twist takes us now! I promise I'm not being a mean reviewer and I really do enjoy your story (best ninja turtle fanfiction up to date) I guess this chapter went a little out of character.
