Well now this one was very well written, very well executed. To Dean, someone staying with him longer than an hour means a lot to him. People abandon him too easily. So for Sam not to leave his side for three days straight when he was pretty much incapacitated, means more than Sam will ever realize. Because Sam has always had someone right by his side, willing to wait, but never Dean. You are right, siblings will do anything for each other. It is just in the blood. Great story. Sorry for the babble LOL.

Great quote that you found, and really apt!
As usual so true to character, could so imagine Sam in mother-hen mode tending to his sick sibling, who would so insist he was okay despite feeling like death warmed up!
Great too that Dean when he was back in the land of the living realised that his little brother had carried on their dad's tradition of tending to them when they were sick - chicken soup and crackers!
And just so typical of Dean, after spending days out of it with a fever, to feel a little better and beat Sam hands down at poker!
Good job after all that 'nursing' that Sam didn't come down with the same affliction too!
