This was an amazing story! I just binged-read the entire thing.

I am so glad that Snape finally gets a chance with Lilly. Honestly I felt the James and Lilly relationship seems a bit unbelievable, despite what Remus states in the books.

This has been a rewarding read and for that I thank you from depths of my heart. I have stumbled upon this pairing while researching harry's character, as I read through his family especially his mothers relationship with Snape and since then I have been looking for some fics of this pairing. I am glad that I have stumbled upon your work and that you have graced us with this wonderful story.

The plot was handled well and is done masterfully, time travel or time travellers has a special place in my part and for me to read a story that dares to answer the morality of it all and its implications. Every twist and turn has been thrilling and exciting, every dramatic moment is with impact and depth and every light hearted moments and moments of affection were blended with the right recipe of emotion that had made me feel all sorts of emotion. this story is a perfect example of a rollercoaster ride and for that thank you! for making us your readers experience it.

The characters were believable and true to what jkr wrote and so much more. you did not only borrow her characters and use them but I dare say you have given them depth that I havent seen in other fanfics. And the whole ensemble of characters from Moody,Remus,Dumbledor and James etc have been compelling in the roles that you have given them.
Lily was loveable and I see how and why Severus can do all of his sacrifices for her. I am deeply in love with your rendition of lily's character and I am glad that she is the hero of this story and I love how she completely turns the table on dumbledore and out plays him in his own "game" of the greater good. I love how you handled all of her character arcs and how each decisions she makes had weight and ripples on the lives of every one. overall she was very loveable and I can sympathize with her thru the end.
Severus is ever the hero and friend that Lily needs, it is great to have him in the forefront of things. Both characters relationship felt very real and compelling that i was on the edge every interaction they have.

Overall this is an excellent fic and I am glad to have been part of it. Thank you and hope to see more from you.

An honestly conflicting but grand story. You told it with great detail, excellent character development and reflection. I am amazed at how well you managed to separate Severus and Young Severus considering how changing his life experiences were despite the constant that was his love for Lily. I especially love the portrayal of Dumbledore near the end, the sort of psychopathic need to do 'good'. Idk if you intended it but it sounds like remembering being dead for so long may have changed him, because Severus wasn't dead for as long as Dumbledore and coming back from the other side would probably leave anyone a little messed up. Or maybe perhaps you intended it that way? Either way, I applaud you sir, an excellent read that I hope to see more of someday.

Honestly the best and most thoughtful exploration of the moral dilemmas of time travel, free will, and fate that I've ever seen in a fic - and quite possibly in a published work, too. I loved your characterizations of Lily, Severus, and even James; I loved your shades of gray; I loved the writing. Thank you for a wonderful story!

of cause you have to leave a cliffhanger on the last chapter

Seeing how I HATE James Potter and the Marauders this story is canon for me...not the crap that was written in the books! JKR stated she hates Pansy because Pansy reminds her of all the snobby mean bully girls she went to school with growing up. Yet she shows Potter and Black as even worse bullies yet she shows them as heroes and winning the girl. I've always hated the books after learning about them.

Wow, I mean wow. I found this story a couple of months ago but put off on reading it for a while because of the summary. When I saw it I thought "This could either be really interesting or really horrible", in fact I remember thinking the same thing that you pointed out on your profile, "annoying tropes I'd grown to dislike (such as Snape being the 40-year-old virgin who has not even smelled a woman since Lily died - or Lily being characterized either as this perfect Stepford wife with no agency, or as a vain, cold-hearted snob who must be PUNISHED)".
But man was I wrong. Now I'll let it be known that I binged this over a day, so my thoughts are definitely jumbled. Let me start off with what I read on your profile. I completely agree with hating on the certain tropes, I myself recently got back into Snily fics purely because I randomly saw "Deathly Hallows" a couple months back, and thus I came in contact with a lot of ok stories, a good amount of bad ones or ones that were just too short, and a few memorable ones- like this. I must say, it is incredibly hard to find a really good snily fic, and I mean really good.
That's why I love this fic so much. It is literally my two favorite types of Snily fics, the ones where it is purely focused on the love part- the first half of this- and then the ones purely focused on the war which inadvertently causes the love- the second part. I like that you did notice a difference in the 2 parts, as they really can be read as 2 separate stories, yet s 1 they are amazing.
I love the developement of Lily throughout this, seeing go from a naive 19 year old to strong and battered 27 year old was so beautiful and heart wrenching. The only flaws in my opinion was that the shift from that around chapter 28ish was kind of fast, and I was a little dissapointed that at the end of the story she was only happy when the other Sev returned. I like the characterization of both Severus', Petunia, and even James.
This story was a masterpiece with a great supporting cast. It is honestly one of my favorites, up there with "Honour amognst Death Eaters" and "The Road not Taken". Thank you for this experience, there's a lot I want to say because it seems like we've had similar experiences and thoughts with the Snily community, and if you have any reccomendations please send them my way. I truly hope that you continue writing whether it is here or professionaly, I hope you do. And one can always hope for another snily fic, but once again keep up the good work!

This is simply amazing! What a rollercoaster of a journey this story took me. The characterization, the plot, and everything in between was so fresh. I really like how developed Snape and Lily relationship, as it was painfully mending itself. Great story!
