I've been reading this fanfiction repeatedly and I've realised that although I like your version of the main two, my favourite characterisation is that of James Potter. I would have loved an epilogue with Harry at Hogwarts but this substitutes well. I wish you'd write more. Also, I had this thought... I don't remember any mention of Arthur Weasley (or any of the Weasleys, for that matter), so are they dead in this AU? And yes, I really NEED to say this - Eunike, YOU'RE AN UTTER GENIUS!

This is the third time I've come back to read this fic since I first came across it in June. The story is brilliant... it's got anger, betrayal, love and goodness - all the things I look for in a great fanfiction. Ananke had made me think and rethink about a lot of things I used to think of as non sense. It's got a great vocabulary, greater characters, and one of the GREATEST endings I could imagine for it. Also, this version of Snape and Lily is actually much more convincable than Canon. They've both got a huge development arc here that JK couldn't have given them. THANK YOU, THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR WRITING THIS AND MAKING ME BELIEVE IN FRIENDSHIP AGAIN! I hope you'd write more and I promise to recommend your story to any person interested in this ship... this is by far one of the BEST FANFICS ON THIS WEBSITE. I can't thank you enough for this!

I finished reading this story earlier today and have just gone back to the start to read it again. It's officially my favourite fanfic. You've taken the scraps we had of Lily in the books and crafted a multidimensional character out of them - absolutely excellent!

Just a quick thought that struck me:

In the early chapters, someone (Dumbledore or Severus, can't remember) pointed out that Lily had wised up a great deal between her 19 years old self and the time of her death. Severus then affirmed that he never exactly knew what pushed her to grow up this way.

Well now, we know exactly what changed her...

Poor Severus and Lily... hopelessly in love with each other, and each one forced to grieve for the other...

Dude, first and foremost. DAMN, I finished this in 3 days. I lost a lot of sleep trying to finish. I loved your characterization of everyone, how Lily was just an angry human, because let's be Honest, Jkr wrote her vanilla AF, and I just can't understand how she wrote so one dimensional and still try and make me believe she was this person who was loved and admired. But you gave her life, dimension, anger, love and proportion. Also loved this Sev. SNILLY FOR LIFE MAN. Thank you!
