Reviews for Update to the Update

This was lovely! Funny and sweet and very in keeping with the tone. Just what I needed for my post-Christmas special come-down.

Enjoyed your future fic about Tim and Dawn. Very in character and funny!
Aoife Miranda chapter 1 . 7/2/2014
This was absolutely fantastic! I really enjoyed this update to Tim and Dawn's life and how they were doing after the documentary aired. You kept it very realistic in terms of their personal lives, but also within the show's canon. I could definitely picture the two of them having this life - married and happy together with a baby on the way, fulfilling their dreams, but still overcoming some obstacles to get where they want to be (i.e., Tim still being at Wernham Hogg, but finally getting his psychology degree and trying to figure out what to do while Dawn is an illustrator doing some temp work).

The best part of this fic is that I could picture it being something that Ricky Gervais would write. You kept Tim and Dawn in character so perfectly, and again, this is a perfect, in character take of what their lives would be like after the cameras went off.

Awesome work! :)

Sportsmaniac13 chapter 1 . 12/18/2012
Fanfiction is very hit-or-miss (but mostly miss) with characterization, but this one really nailed it. I could really see Martin Freeman and Lucy Davis delivering those lines. They're all completely in character.

I loved that it kept the mockumentary feel as well. The transitions between events and side-interviews were very easy to follow, and followed the format of the show to a T.

As for the story, I could see every single thing happening three years after the show ended. It really made me appreciate Tim and Dawn's characters that much more. God I miss them.

All in all, very well done. This is definitely one of the better fanfictions I've read. 9.5/10.
Lady Sam Mallory chapter 1 . 8/1/2012
What a lovely story. I just loved it when Tim and Dawn get together in the end. I saw it for the first time on Sunday and I've seen it probably thirty times since then, (Just that part). It moved me so much that I had to see if I could find any fanfic that helped wrap it up.

Thanks for that.

I would recommend that you go in and place lines in between the sections though. It was a bit confusing in places.

Makes me love Dawn and Tim even more! I can totally picture Martin Freeman delivering those lines, too. Great work!

I kind of love you right now. Thank you!
ProdigyGirl chapter 1 . 1/21/2012
Exquisite. Absolutely fantastic. Your descriptions were perfectly in-character: I had a film-reel of it all going in my head the whole time. And Dawn's answer to Tim at the end... Completely and utterly perfect. Well done and thank you for such a wonderful story.

eight6seven5three0nine chapter 1 . 12/25/2008
I really really enjoyed reading this! The Christmas special was on TV again today and it made me want to read some quality Tim/Dawn fiction.

This definitely hit the spot. I could hear and see pretty much everything that I read and that to me is the perfect reading experience.
identityless chapter 1 . 10/19/2008

Blondala chapter 1 . 7/21/2008
I loved this! I've watched some of the British Office episodes. They are so funny, even if they're a little crude for my admitedly slightly prudish sense of humor. Well, okay, they're not bad, but my parents seems to think they're too crude for me. Anyway, I'm glad someone tackled the original. Good job.
