This is a great story I read a while ago. It has a fantastic plot, and the characters stay on the correct path and don't deter onto the OOC platform. I struggle to find a FanFiction as good as this, and it had provided me with amusement for a long while. Thank you for writing this story, and I look forward to reading more of yours soon.

I loved it! It was a really awesome story, ya know? Like, seriously, because I learned a few things along the way! Like that "PDA no way!" I had no idea what that was about, so I looked it up and then I was like LOL all the time I read it. And the thing Riku said to Sora about ownership, and Roxas' talk about what's fake and what's real... and other things. Awesome. AND The pairings were awesome,too. And I loved Axel. And the ladybugs. Really, its like I only have good things to say about your fic. Your writting's awesome, too, by the way. The narration's pretty entertaining, you see, I loved it. :)

I'm not great with reviews but I wanna tell you that this put a lot of thoughts in my head, tears in my eyes and smiles on my face. all in all an adventure and experience to read. I feel like I grew up alongside sora riku and roxas over the span of their life lessons and I thank you so much for writing this amazing story! one of the best on the entire site :)

Excellent, excellent story! I'm so glad I saw mention of it through somebody's Youtube comment, otherwise, I would never have discovered this in all its emotional and perfect writing.
Everything just felt so real but never in a boring way. Just how life happens and all that. But, I cared about these portrayals of all the characters so much that that's probably why the realness of it was so easy to get invested in. It was like, in a way, watching episodes of My So-Called Life (which, coincidentally, was also around in '95) but even more realistic than that.

There are all of these life lessons too in here that separate this from being just another KH yaoi fic. About facing life's problems head-on and accepting who you are even when everyone else is against you for being different. This was less a fanfic to me and more of a coming-of-age story done so incredibly well.

I was just impressed with all the details that kept coming back in this story. Sora's roller skates. Roxas' skateboard, Harlequin novels, and music collection. Riku's hemp bracelets and packed lunches. All of these things weren't so much things, I felt, but representations of these guys' personalities. They matched the KH canon characters to a tee. Really, when things keep coming back in a story, that's what makes it interesting.

What was one of the best parts for me was the character development. How Sora goes from resistant when it comes to being gay to eventually accepting it and being comfortable with it with Riku. How he embraces his homosexuality fully and unabashedly after a while, after the moments he shares with Riku. And how it ultimately ends up being that Roxas is the one most resistant to being openly gay, has been that way practically all the way through the story. And he's supposed to be the brash, rebellious one! Sora driving it home to Roxas about accepting himself for who he is and being more trusting with others...I just felt that it was so profound, how someone once uncomfortable with his situation is helping others with similar situations.

Overall, one of THE BEST stories I've ever read on this site. Phenomenal, phenomenal job well-done! Bonus is that it's all set in the 90s, and the songs that were also the chapter titles fit each chapter so well. And ending it with a Nirvana lyric is nothing short of genius in my opinion.
I hope to read more from you when I get the chance, you're a seriously talented writer.

This chapter had me near tears at certain points, especially the part when Axel broke up with Roxas. I figured that it was going to happen because of Roxas' intent to keep their relationship secret for the most part, but that part still hurt.
And I really appreciate how realistic this chapter was in terms of this one bad event resulting in a series of other bad events. It's like the saying, "when it rains, it pours." It was like an atomic bomb going off, every bit as dramatic as I was expecting, if not more so.

In my opinion, one of the best-written chapters yet in this story. I really love these flashback chapters, they really shed light on these characters and why their personalities are the way they are. And especially this one, with the development of Axel and Roxas' relationship. It was perfect, kind of the way I'd expect them to fall in love, be friends first and then realize they have feelings for each other.

As a hardcore Nirvana fan, I enjoyed the part with the concert. Speaking of which, the album in its entirety fit quite well with the chapter. With the concert part, anyway, it was just so romantic in a way. Not in the love sense (though that's included too, I'd say) but how epic it was and how well you managed to capture what Axel and Roxas were feeling right at that moment.

And the part with the students mourning over Kurt Cobain's death was really well-done, too. It definitely summed up what Gen X was feeling at the time. Just the sensitivity and angst that was put into this part was very well-crafted, I thought it deserved a special mention.

This will probably be my favorite chapter unless there are others that can outdo it. But, this one with AkuRoku is going to be really, REALLY hard to top. XD
