1) A spell to destroy Evil Dark Wizards.
Hm, maybe they should just use a grenade or a stick of dynamite.
What they really need is a spell to keep morons from becoming the Minister of Magic, or a spell to prevent incestuous relationships among purebloods (ew!)
I always wondered why no muggleborns invented spells that would allow muggle electronics to work in the wizarding world.
| GJMEGA chapter 1 . 7/23/2008
Brilliant! I would suggest you make this into a challenge of some sort, one where Harry thinks of this shit /before/ the war is over. For instance during his first trip to diagon ally he should be like: "Hagrid, why is the leaky couldran so dirty and run down? Can't you fix it with magic? Hagrid why..." You get the idea. Young innocent *cough*yearight*cough* Harry pointing out the obvious flaws in the wizarding world. I know that this has probably been done before, but add your own slant to the rules needed to write it; make it original. Or just ignore me, either way great story!

Interesting. And, of course, an hour or so later, the conjured paper reverted to the nothingness from which it came - taking Harry's ideas with it.

Interesting start on a social commentary. Very interesting. Too bad it's a one-shot. LOL... the Trio could go into Diagon Alley and London on "Soc Projects". Dunno, or can't remember where you're from, but around here... High School Sociology teachers have a penchant for assigning projects where someone will dress outlandishly (can you even DO that in London, so's anyone'd notice?) and then the rest of the group observes the general public's reactions.
Do they ignore the person? Do they see the person, but look away? Do they realize something interesting is going on, and walk up to make conversation? And then, how is this different from when someone is dressed for business, or as a homeless or dirty person...?
Harry should write his essay... including his conclusion that Magic is just "too much fun". Oh... but the hilarity that could ensue... how the wizards view the same set of people compared to the Londoners... but what about a conservative farm community? How do THEY see outlandish folk? Or hm...
Keep up the good work!

| Wonderbee31 chapter 1 . 7/22/2008
Heh, a sweet moment there, and can just imagine Hermione tutting away while looking for Ron, and Ron smirking while hiding under the cloak. Cute, and liked how Harry thought about that ino he had.
