But that's not the point. I thought this was a wonderful piece, how you said that his father had "given him the sting of the flame". That was pretty cool. Nice fic!

Thank you for this piece, as it represents a large chunk of the many things about the finale that just bug me.

This was a terrific piece. I never really thought of what Aang did to Ozai in that sense. Sure, defeated and imprisoned was a humiliation, but you really brought out just what Aang took from Ozai that day. Well done!

Ooh! Very nice! Pretty much echoes my thoughts on Ozai's punishment. I mean, seriously, it almost brings to mind Zhao's threat in 'The Blue Spirit.'

This was so wickedly beautiful. It just . . . gah. I love it. I adore the way you portray Ozai, and I adore the way you made him think.

This...was just wow. It was so beautiful yet so horrifying at the same time.

Funny how Ozai actually has feelings of affection for his son, but cares nothing for his daughter. He deserved what he got and more.

I think my favorite part is when Ozai's thinking the irony in the Avatar's words.

This was well written. I think you did well to portray Ozai from the sympathic viewpoint, rather than the typical "rawr, I'm evil".

It was interesting how you noted that his love for Zuko was indeed still love, and that he had even felt proud. I'll say that Azula's fate (if it is what I think it is, of which I am fairly certain) is somewhat discouraging and truly cruel.

Of course, the most symbolic item of the fic is his extinguished inner flame. Very nice.

Oh, very nice, very dark. I've actually thought the same thing, where Ozai is thinking, "The Avatar calls this mercy." I am fairly sure Ozai would much prefer to have been killed. :P Oh well, tough luck, that is not how Aang rolls. XD

I agree... I did think that was kind of messed up. I mean, honestly, death would've been better than and much more appropriate for a gut like that. I mean the warrior type. But yeah, great job!

I like though that you expanded on Ozai's character. Which was something they never really did in the original series.

Forlorn Maiden: With the already dark nature permeating through this fic, I was sure the guards were raping Azula. Since the fic is from Ozai's somewhat apathetic POV, one cannot be certain.
