True. In reality, he wouldn't go for Kagome. But in reality, he wouldn't kill her either. Weakness? I think he was even mildly interested if not smitten with KAGURA, and he still didn't kill her. He even tried to save her with his tenseiga, when she died. He may have a stick up his behind, but he has honor. At the beginning of the anime he was kind of cruel, but when Rin came into the picture he definitely changed. He wouldn't do this to Kagome. If he was in love with her in "reality", he would either just brush it off as a fleeting curiousity or simply ignore it. I don't think that this story depicts him any more true to the manga as the other S/K fics, sorry.

I totally agree, if Sesshoumaru ever realized he had any desire for Kagome, he'd kill her. Except Rin comes in the picture and definitely becomes a weakness so it's really all about when in time these feelings develop in Lord Flufferson.

Indeed I don't believe Sesshoumaru would ever FALL for Kaome although I do enjoy reading stories aroud them...YOu are right he is too proud and if Kagome was to be a concern he would more than likely anihilate her all together. SOo Bravo for putting this into light:)

I love Sesshomaru and I have to agree with your belief that it would not really work... I still enjoy reading Sess and Kags best since, well, it is the best way to get more Sesshomaru (and I can't deal with him romancing Rin... incest is not romantic *shudder*). I enjoyed your writing style on this piece and I will definitely read more of your stories.

I understand this and great this! Well I do love a sweet fluffy sessy. I also like the string side of sessy to the kind that fights like anyone or needing anything. Anywho, good oneshot sad kags died but I so get.

I didn't even notice until I finished reading, that I had been leaning expectantly against my desk, doing my best to keep my eyes from straying too far ahead. I must confess, it was very tempting, but now that I have read it, I only want to read more.

I'm conflicted. It's a pity she had to die, because I wish there had been more, but then again, it was fitting and a most beautiful finish.

The most graceful hunt I've ever witnessed and a story that I will return to for inspiration for my own writing. It was breathtaking, really. I could commend you for an eternity, but unfortunately, I've run out of compliments. Alas, all I have left is a mere "Bravo!"

Well that was unexpected. And a bit brutal, lol. However, it was very well written and yes, realistic. Although, I don't think it's implausable to think that Kagome and Sesshoumaru would work out. Especially if he desired her. I don't think it would be beyond him to change or be reasonable. But that's just a side note, I'm glad this wasn't the typical "Sesh falls deeply in love with Kags despite all his predispotitions" kind of story. I liked the twist. I think your story had a very visceral, almost Shakespearian star-crossed tradgety feel to it. The feeling that he had no recourse but to kill her, denying himself a weakness was very poignant and shocking. In that one ending paragraph the whole situation got turned on its head. I found myself whispering, no, no don't do it. I think it added even more realism for him to not only kill her, but to have it kill any of the warmth that was inside him, turning him fully into who he thinks he wants to be. With her he killed the hope for that kind of emotion. Very tragic and good. I like the twist and I applaude you.
