| whoreallycares chapter 1 . 10/4/2008
i thought this story wuz very cute.
your other story "Where the Heart Is" though:
you have to stop making Ian such a workaholic.
He loves Alex and loves to spend time with him.
You have to show that more.
All so Jack is not an angry bitch all the time, you should calm her down a bit.
Other then that its a great story
Pleez continue writing it.
I luv it!
| Simply Shelby chapter 1 . 9/23/2008
I love how you write Jack. You seem to get her just perfect.
I also loved how it turned out to be Ian's idea in the first place because it seems like something he would do.
And the ending was adorable. I can imagine a small Alex doing exactly that.
All in all, spot on.
| El Reino chapter 1 . 9/16/2008
Ha ha wow, brilliant ending. ;)
| ponygirl-loves-mcqueen chapter 1 . 9/13/2008
Hehe, I like that, "Not even an ice cream cone?" he sounds so disappointed lol Good job, that was funny!
| scorchedtrees chapter 1 . 8/19/2008
Ahaha. That's adorable. xD I loved the last line, too. Great job!
| BlackBeltChick chapter 1 . 8/15/2008
real cute i liked part where he asks if they can go to the cake shop!
| Nylah chapter 1 . 8/10/2008
LOL very good. Loved the reference to suing McDonalds, it has been a running joke here; whenever we're short of money (happens a lot), one of us will mention getting coffee at McDonalds...:)
"trying to radiate danger despite their thinning hair and half-hidden paunches." ROTFL!
| kimanioverthinks chapter 1 . 8/2/2008
“If we stop at the Chelsea Cake Shop and I sort of bump my head on the counter, can you get us a free ice cream cake?”! that part made me die of laughter!... then i came back alive!
| funk2242 chapter 1 . 8/1/2008
Oh w0w. Funny story. He was acting the whole time!
| keatlin chapter 1 . 8/1/2008
This version is rather corny. :-) And do shops really give out free merchandise to stop possinle lawsuits? Haha...I guess it's just a story. Or I would love to try that out one day. Hehe...
Great oneshot though, I enjoyed reading it.
| Rose-Aislin chapter 1 . 7/31/2008
Okay, I have to admit I never would have thought of Jack being there for this. Simply because I always got the impression that she was completely out of it in terms of not knowing really all that Ian was teaching Alex (like pickpocketing).
Then again, Alex never saw anything wrong with the things he did with his uncle so he wouldn't have censored what he was saying around Jack either.
I have to say that my first thought was that it was too extreme, for something that neither Jack or Alex would have thought twice about doing... but at the same time, I can also kinda see it being such a training thing. 'Go chuck a tantrum Alex'.
A cute little ficlet. I wanna hug Alex now.
| Arithilim chapter 1 . 7/30/2008
*giggles* That was very entertaining, lol. I admit at the beginning I was rather, ehrm, confused cause I didn't think it was like Alex at all to throw a temper tantrum like that and it definitely didn't seem to fit with the way you've written his younger self before, but then everything became clear and it was brilliant :D I love the idea of Ian telling Jack to get Alex to do that, and I loved how the manager was afraid of Jack because she was American. That made me laugh XD And I loved Alex running into the playhouse and slamming the door - not quite sure why exactly, but I think it was the mental picture of that :D And the ending was perfect. I think I agree with you that the other version of Alex's birthday fit better in your other story. But I'm really glad you posted this! Thanks for a very entertaining read XD
| Schizophrennic Muffin chapter 1 . 7/30/2008
That was cute. I did enjoy that a rather large amount.
| Rid3r Chick chapter 1 . 7/29/2008
dude. that was the funniest thing ever! i've seen some horrific child meltdowns but this one (even though it's fictious but it could happen, minus the whole "Operation" thing) takes the prize. great job.
| Mad Mogg chapter 1 . 7/29/2008
LOL this is brillient. I like the way the whole thing was faked it took me until the end of the fic to work it out.
