ladies and gentlemen, 5 exact to the minute hours after starting this ff I've eventually come to the end and I don't think loving a story this much should be possible.

Bout fucking time younger Harry was taken from the Dursleys. So happy he finally decided he could be bothered to free a innocent man from Azkaban.

Their relationship is sweet and well written but I'm still thinking of young Harry with those Dursleys.

Cute. Oh and would you look at that he managed to visit the castle and get the horcrux but neglected doing anything about the damn basilisk.

What the hell happened to giving young Harry a better life?! And over half the stuff he's claiming he's got to wait for he actually doesn't. Hell he still hasn't done a thorough research on Horcruxes to see if there was a safe way to remove young Harry's instead of looking to rely on that fluke of a lucky chance that happened to him. And he claims he couldn't get into Hogwarts...did he even fucking try? There's a few secret entrances he knows about, he's intimately familiar with the layout of the school, he's got an invisibility cloak, he's far better at stealth and magic now, and he knows from experience that people with the literal intent to harm the school children have managed to get in and stay in as well as that animagus' have no issue getting in and roaming about undetected. I was enjoying this at first, and the idea is cool but he's started irritating me with his hypocritical "for the greater good" bullshit that allows others to suffer and/or die like Dumbledore's done. After improving his knowledge, skill set, and experience greatly it should not be hard to look up or attempt to think of alternatives to locating all horcruxes including searching to see who has made them in the past and how they were handled or a method to summon them. Sending anonymous tips to certain individuals would not have been a risk if done properly if he didn't want to get emotionally close or lose his anonymity. Checking Gringotts for their policy to see if they have certain stipulations on what they guard for witches and wizards would be simple as well, he could just state he wants to have a better idea of what is or isn't allowed in their bank or could try sending them an anonymous note as well to see if they'd get rid of the Horcrux for him. Doing absolutely nothing to at minimum improve Harry's life from the Dursleys into being just tolerable when he knows his other self is being abused has several different methods he could go about handling it. Including getting the Dursleys arrested for child endangerment and abuse of both their nephew and their own son. Yet he does nothing and is unconcerned with it like its necessary when it isn't. If he didn't want to adopt his young self he could have inserted himself as a trustful adult to mentor young Harry. He could have even simply bespelled the Dursleys to make them act like decent people and treat their nephew humanely and periodically check on them to make sure young Harry is fine. I'm hoping he snaps out of this stupidity soon and continue to actually try to change things for the better while there's still time cuz the longer he wants and lets shit play out the same the closer to his timeline it's gonna be with whatever things he does finally do not making much of a difference for the world since he failed his objective which was to stop as many deaths as he could and kill off Voldy as quickly as possible. He's not even trying to think of ways to improve this backwards shit storm of a society when that's more than half the reason why and how things got so bad he felt the need to time travel. He's just pussyfooting around with the feeble excuse of needing to know exactly how things happen later disregarding how it could already change in certain aspects if not completely because he's in/created a separate timeline that he's inserted himself into(a person that didn't or shouldn't exist) and living beings have free will and could do something different from his time on a goddamn whim or some unforeseen change that's happened because he's there.
