| Dreamweaver chapter 1 . 8/2/2008 I think that Harry SHOULD get rid of ol' Petey...just not right away. He could just keep track of the guy until the time James and Lily get into the Fidelus thing and Siri gets them to change their minds to use Peter. Give Pete a couple days or so to get the necessary info to Vold, THEN get rid of him before that particular July 31st. My calculations say that the only important thing that would probably be affected is Sirius' framing/incarceration. 1) Harry waiting 'til after Pete gives Vold the Fidelus info but taking action before that Halloween date to off him would ensure that Peter wouldn't be around to to get Sirius into trouble. 2) Vold's "rebirth"? Well, with as many minions that the guy has, I'm sure that there'd be others that'd be all to happy to do the little "job" that, in cannon, belonged to Pettigrew. Oh, and if Harry's guardianship is raised, it could be pointed out that while Siri is definitely OF AGE to have a kid, emotionally and maturity-wise, I don't think the the guy (during that time) is/would have been capable of CARING for a baby/child. Under that situation, Harry could've still been given to the Dursleys'. |
