Sehr gut epilogue, danke. Our beloved Baron and Felicity have both been through so much, suffered so much pain and anguish, it would have been cruel to make them edure any more. So I for one, am happy for the fluffy ending youve chosen for them here and I wish them years and years of contented matrimonial bliss.
I love that they holidayed at Heinrichs estate.
During the series, the Baron spoke with such pride and fondness for his home, his vineyard, and his wall, so it was very fitting that you'd take us into "his garden", come the wars end. I could envisage the picnic by the abbey wall, so vividly. Just the two of them, sipping wine, feeding each other grapes...the sound of the wind rustling through the tall grasses...mixed with music from the gramophone, leading them closer and closer to the inevitable..
It was all so relaxed and sensually written and the gramophone I thought, was a particularly nice touch as The Baron did show quite a liking for music and I adored the way that Heinz made love to Felicity, slowly and in between reciting the lyrics
And you heated things up nicely with
that palm kiss and "you are longing and what stills it?"
Knelt between her legs he supplies the answer "pleasure and pain"
Entering her, he explains why "Drive the pain from my breast, fill my heart with your pleasure"
and as he moves inside her Felicity replies "Yes!"
"Oh Yes" ...GUH!
And then the most beautiful and romantic ending
Felicity asking Heinz to live with her forever
but to prove her depth of love for him and her complete sincerity she asks in German.

I didn't realise that you had done some sort of epilogue, and I am a big Baron fan? Seriously he loves you... I loved it and even though you had done it a while ago I will go back and read the velvet dark and love it all over again

What, what, what? - I go away for a week's holiday resigning myself to being content with re-reads of TVD on my return, only to find this when I logged back in - a real treat. In fact, a perfect end to a perfect fic. As ever your touch is deft and subtle - the scene is romantic without being cloying and life-affirming without lapsing into cliche. The only disappointment is that we have to leave Heinrich and Felicity to their poetic destiny without a more extended visit - perhaps an epilogue to the epilogue can still be hoped for?
