|Reviews for Grace Nakimura 1: Shrine Maiden|
| Desdinova chapter 1 . 6/6/2010
Needs a good, hard edit, and lose the song lyrics. That's the worst of it.
What IS good is the hard, unsparing look at Mr. Gabriel Knight, whose feet of clay reach clear up to his neck. I strongly urge the author to keep writing since the plotting and dialogue are clearly superior to that of Ms. Jane Jensen, series creator, systems analyst and Anne Rice knockoff, right down to the imitation Lestat and pageboy haircut.
While the portrayal of Grace Nakimura probably isn't canon, it IS more realistic and understandable. She comes across as someone I could like. I read somewhere that Sierra canceled the latest GK game-thank God! It would probably have to be called The Coming Out, since the only thing Jensen hasn't done is to flat-out make Gabriel gay. I have long wondered what Grace would be like as her own person, instead of an inadvertent fag hag. If this story is anything to go by, I like her a lot, and screw Gabriel Knight! Please show us more of this strong independent side of her. She doesn't need him to make a good story, and neither do we.
