The only thing I can think of to improve this is to start at a much higher number. Perhaps in the mid 800's or low 900's. That should add some emotional impact, a line about how long she's been at this would have given her more depth. Small things like that can improve a fic greatly.
| Moth Gypsy chapter 1 . 10/19/2009

| Coco-Minu chapter 1 . 8/25/2008
Sad, but beautiful. I like the idea of it, because this idea of the origami / paper-crane wishing has always appealed to me and the ideas that Konan has are interesting. Lovely work.
| Kalliel chapter 1 . 8/10/2008
I've always loved the story of the thousand paper cranes. And even though the key to granting one's wishes should be a happy thing, an uplifting thing, perhaps the only reason those keys are sought is because it is already too late. I can't help but feel that every number is a countdown to tragedy, not wishes granted.
This fic has gotten me on a total Pein/Konan kick. Excellent read!

| Finnimbrun chapter 1 . 8/10/2008
This is a really nice fic. Short, spare, to the point, hauntingly lovely, and with that sense of inevitable doom and tragedy that I love about this pairing. I hope you write more in the future.
