Glad some thing got resolved.
| The Ghostly Minion chapter 14 . 3/4/2014
OK, I think I'm up to speed on this.
1. Bellatrix is doing a Quirrel, or perhaps a step beyond that.
2. Harry WILL NOT let Neville get taken alone, if he can humanly prevent it.
3. Hermione's fall back for Harry is to send home back to the fight in the Ministry. I hope she knows Harry will not allow that. For better or worse he will be at her side, and she at his. I would not be at all surprised if Harry doesn't propose to her before the last fight. I think most of the above holds for Neville and Lavender too.
4. The DA WILL NOT let Harry and Neville play the last hand alone.
5. Draco is an ally "for the duration", maybe longer.
6. Thank you for redeeming Dumbledore. We saw the canonical Albus in this chapter.
As always, your writing is top drawer.

I'm glad that it seems relationship issues are resolving themselves-for the present. The subplot with Draco is interesting.

"Keep your friend close, your enemies closer and your loved ones closest of all".
I am so glad Hermione's Birthday went the way I hoped (and I'll take that gold star now!). 8)
I loved the humor in the Quidditch code. It was hilarious.
I am sorry for the strain between Lavender and Neville, although it was inevitable. Does Harry still have the pensieve? He needs to give them access to his memories, and maybe Hermione's as well.
At this point, what is the condition of the other Harry?
I'm thinking that Harry and Neville need two more wands, both as backups and to learn two-handed defense. Would Dumbledore spare two more of Fawkes' feathers so Olivander can make wands as close to their own as possible?
I know that Albus-bashing is popular; not saying you are doing so here. But having read enough Fics now, I see a commonality in the way he is treated. None of the Fics portray Dumbledore with the humanity JKR does in canon. No, canon Dumbledore is not at all perfect and make his fair share of mistakes and more. But no one can doubt his love for Harry.
Also, for this story, he is minister. He has much more on his plate than two students' lives. I think his motivations would be far different were he still Headmaster. Still, here, he is minister and he will place the welfare of Britain ahead of two students and will sacrifice their lives for a sure kill of Voldemort.

Magnificent. It might sound dumb to feel so happy for a couple of fictional character, but I do.
For all the pain and worry and fear they have been through, this is a more then deserved reward. For all the fear, pain, worry and terror they still have to face, this will be the immovable anchor grounding them.

If "today" isn't Hermione's Birthday, then it should be in the next few "days". I think it would be a great gift from Harry if he were to tell her then that he loves her, that he is sorry for all he has put her through since they met, and promised to talk to her and to follow her advice in the future.
However, that is a forlorn hope right?
I think it is also time for Neville and Lavender to start taking a trip down Harry's Memory Lane.
A heart start to another gorgeous story ((or it's continuation, I should say). Thank you.

Man, I was so sure they mind blanked the time clone body, and were going to shove these memories from the orb into the time clone.
The horcrux is interesting, but as with canon I can't help but feel it is too damn easy to make these things. Voldemort did it by accident, twice.

Draco overhearing the conversation is somewhat out of ordinary.
I would assume hermione or harry to use security spells to avoid overhearing.
It does not seem reasonable when overhearing of this type did not happen at all in last story (when snape and others were trying to track harry) and suddenly draco seem to do it easily.

Errr ... one bone to pick. The age of consent TODAY in the UK is 16, but in the 1990s (in which the series is set), it was 14 for boys.

Wow. That was amazing, from beginning to end. Thank you for taking the time to write this. :)

The end of this chapter made me cry (in a good way). I'm glad Harry was finally able to tell Hermione how he felt. I was really feeling for Hermione after Lily had spoken to her and planted that seed of doubt into her mind. Gorgeous chapter.

I just hope they remember to keep discussions of practising with the house team separate from their innuendo.

Great story finale.

Oooo cliffie. Excellent. Also, there must be something about Hermione that makes boys go mad with jealousy. Harry sounded a lot like canon Ron in this.

Powerful stuff from both Dumbledore and Draco in this chapter. Eager to see how it all plays out.
