Oh, where is the promised HEA? It shouldn't, doesn't have to be more than two chapters away - though at this low point it could sustain just as well another 15 chapters climbing out of a pit. Should Darcy confront the mean cleric, and Bennet family along with him? Should Elizabeth travel ad meet him in Europe? Please, come back and tell the rest!
It is such a great story. I love a bit of Father Brown in Mr. Collins, I love Ly-Di-yaaaa!, and the overall melancholy of it all. Mr. Darcy himself is a bit of a black hole- which, I guess, makes sense in this case.

This is a wonderful well written story! Are you going to finish it? Maybe this is the story to remind me why I hate to read unfinished works. You are creative and very talented, thank you for sharing your talent and other stories.

I finally realized why your story, Forgotten Memories appears so familiar.

I read a similar book more than forty years ago by James Hilton called Random Harvest but it wasn't until I saw the movie version the other day on (TCM) Turner Classic Movies that I was able to connect the dots. So I went back to reread your version (Forgotten Memories) as well as James Hilton version (Random Harvest) again and I find that your story is as thought provoking as James Hilton novel. While there are differences between all three (the novel, the movie & your story) version, the storyline is basically the same. And still love all version!

I really admire your unique twist of adding here and there all the various characters from P&P canon. I hope you have not given up on your story and that you’ll find the time someday soon to update. I will dearly love to see how/where Lizzy/Darcy finally ends up in your version. Thank you for sharing your version!

With no one else at Pemberly, it would seem Darcy and Elizabeth would have some time together, perhaps some walks in the morning as they did at Longbourn, some interactions to jog his memory?
