|Reviews for PS Sorry 'Bout All That|
| Delphi Psmith chapter 1 . 12/14/2013
Oh, this was GREAT! You put your finger on perhaps the only reason that Harry might feel some nostalgia for number four Privet Drive. I adore the "new" Dudley, and the letters are both sweet and very funny. The best bit is how all the important stuff - about killing Tom, the war, etc. - happens in the PS's, like an afterthought!
iProphecies aren't that simple. This one came true because Voldemort made it come true. /i Indeed.
iPS - I doubt you have any idea what you're apologizing for, but thanks.
PS - No, I don't really. But I'd like to./i
Awww. I like this new Dudley. He has some redeeming qualities.
I find it hilarious that Vernon doesn't notice the house is a replica ("upon their return to their home two months ago – which he noted with disdain directed at his captors, hadn't been emtouched/em") but Dudley picks up on - yet more evidence that there's more to Duddykins than one might have thought.
iFor that brief moment, he was looking into the eyes of a man/i - oooooohhhh...
iShe just stood in the kitchen doorway, watching her son and her nephew with a hand pressed to her mouth, tears in her eyes./i
::snif:: I like to think that Aunt Petunia would eventually come round, partly due to finally remembering that Harry is her sister's daughter, not just an annoyance, and partly perhaps due to the (unadmitted) knowledge that Dudley has room for improvement and that hanging round with Harry might be good for him.
i"It is your birthday!" Vernon thundered at Dudley. "And you will spend it with family!" He expected that to be the end of the matter, but the surprises of the day were not yet done. Dudley turned to face his father, set his shoulders, and, in a voice colder and more final than any he had ever used, said, "I am."/i

I've been in the mood for a story like this and yours is wonderful
Thanks for sharing (:

Good story! I love your style and language!
| Loonaticslover13 chapter 1 . 7/22/2013
Beautifully written and perfectly in character, I was laughing/crying in the end. I loved their letters, and Vernon and Petunia's reactions. I laughed and felt sad all at the same time! Wonderfully, wonderfully done!
| originalartemis chapter 1 . 7/11/2013
very interesting, though the letters were a bit strange.
| Redbookbluebook chapter 1 . 7/5/2013
This was really cool to read. I like the idea of Harry and Dudley talking because Harry has always wanted a real family and even though he has plenty of friends, the Dursleys are his blood.
Dudley is a product of his parents, and the plausible growth in his character after the dementor attack was interesting to see. (Especially seeing his interest in Harry's world since he was raised to stifle everything that wasn't normal.) I really enjoyed this and I only wish it were longer...
| The Shadowless Nuance chapter 1 . 7/4/2013
I absolutely love it! Its a great characterization-continuation of the relationship between harry, Dudley, and the Dursleys over all. It has just the right mix of somber truth with disbelief and humor. Over all I really enjoyed it, and would love if you could write more pieces like this.

I've read several fics where Dudley matures a bit and he and Harry make up (it's a theme I quite like), but I must say this was my favourite so far! Thank you :)
| Graciexx chapter 1 . 6/13/2013
I love reading fics about Dudley and Harry's post-war relationship and this one was awesome!
| victoriatonks chapter 1 . 5/18/2013
Well, JKR certainly did not spend much time (or more like, many words) on it, but I've always thought that there might have been a shred of humanity left in Dudley, and maybe even Petunia. Your fic fills in this particular plot hole perfectly, so thank you for writing it. I did enjoy reading the story. I find it both IC and believable.
I probably won't read a lot of your HP fics, because my shipping preferences are completely opposite, but I'll probably have a look at those which aren't H/G or R/Hr.
You're such a good writer. :)

I'd love to think Dudley grew from the experience. I know J.K has said that in the book universe they keep in contact and sent each other gifts, but it is great to see their growing relationship in detail.

"It was shortly after this that Vernon did retire to the sitting room of Number Four Privet Drive with a cold compress and a large brandy."
And Petunia, who really did love her sister-and possibly even her nephew, though she had never learnt how to show it-went into a different room and had a good cry.
