I just wanted to drop a review on your writing in general: It's great! It's very hard to find well-written, canon friendly stories sometimes. I can find many well-written, or fair amount that follow canon, but not so often together. So far, I think your stories have the best idea as to the "Why's" of Naruto. Like, why orange, why he's loud, the various actions and reactions the various characters have with him.

In particular for this story, I hope to see it continued at some point (Though I'm addicted to The Will Born In Fire!). I've wondered at a few points on what would have happened if Naruto had been caught. Because really... how on earth could a Genin manage to steal a high security item? Chances are high he would've been caught. So thanks for taking the time to put the idea down on paper. Orr, er...computer? lol :)

It starts off good, but my only request is that you wouldn't make it Naru/Hina or Naru/Saku, because i just can't read them, i get a mental block or w/e, but thats just me , and it IS your story, so you can do w/e you want :P otherwwise, like i told, it has a good start, i hope you continue on the same track )

I'm also willing to bet it was also in duplicrit, if not triplcrit! When falsfying important documents, make sure there's no direct connection to you. That has to be the most basic rule of forging when you stops to think about it.

Though I ain't a forger, so I wouldn't know, but it seems that would be common sense. Though, I do love spy movies that make sense or have a James Bond style to it!

So, a story in which Naruto actually earns his headband instead of it being a gift because he learned one jutsu? Would the new evaluation of his skills mean he does not end up as the dead-last of the class, and would that lead to him _not_ being seen as stupid so long that he comes to believe it?

There has to be a reason Danzou wants Naruto in his unit. If Naruto was really as bad as his scores say, why would Danzou waste his time? Perhaps this is part of a plot to isolate Naruto, and use his influence over him when he was assigned to ROOT to pull a Dumbledore ie. appear as Naruto's savior.

No fic Ive read used this plotline, but lots have used the "Grade Tampering" plot bunny. BUT! Even though the Hokage and his staff KNEW there was grade tampering, they didnt do anything about the rest of the class. How much of Sasuke's grades are unbiased? Did they really teach what needed to be taught? Why was the graduation exam the EXACT same thing three times in a row? That doesnt make sense if you have guys who might suck at Bushin but have great Tai and Gen skills.

One fic I read included that the Academy teachers gave Sasuke gifts of scrolls about Academy skills that wouldnt be taught for years. And is he really a prodigy compared to other Uchiha?

This is truly excellent and I hope you'll continue it soon. As you said this is an original idea and as such, one with great potential. Great work.
