I know the AN says "aww, the heartbreak", but I am really so HAPPY for this to have happened. Yes sometimes love grows, but if it's been four years of being together and your feelings have not grown but rather recededwell, it's not likely to improve, and even if there weren't anyone else it's still better to break it off and seek happiness elsewhere. Marriage (if not a political or business arrangement) is meant to be an equal partnership with respect, affection, and passion on both sidesnot only on one side. That's merely a formula for moderately declining satisfaction and an eventual divorce; better to nip it in the bud.

Ugh you can't just be with someone because they love you, even if they make you miserable! If they really loved you, they'd notice that you're miserable with them. And honestly it's better to be single than married to someone you don't actually want to be married to.

First of all, I would like to thank you for dedicating 10 long years of your life to this story, through your busy daily life and personal struggles, I’m sure you’ve always made sure you wrote as best as you could, and I affirm it because you are a truly gifted writer!

Before I praise your abilities, I also need to mention how I admire your perseverance and determination in not only finishing such a long and complex story, but also in making justice to Zutara along the way.

You certainly did, because, to me, as a huge ATLA fan, “My Heart Burns For You” is canon to me, undoubtedly, certainly, definitely! It just proves how a well-written, developed and sketched story yours truly is!

Even though you didn’t create these characters and their background stories, you managed not only to reproduce their antics, mannerisms, and personalities so faithfully, as you also developed them even further as they grew up and changed throughout all the chapters, it all makes sense as you recalled past moments they had lived, but also as you blended them naturally into your plot.

I personally rejoiced about their emotional struggles due to your detailed and careful writing, mostly, Zutara’s relationship is genuine and doesn’t seem out of place, much on the contrary, it’s an immersive experience, so, no wonder it’s such a successful and praised story!

I’ve tried twice before writing a fanfic, and it’s such a challenge, it takes your energy, time and creativity, and yet, you’ve managed to combine 10 arcs into one iconic and a masterpiece of a story!

I’ll certainly come back to re-read it throughout my whole life, and each time I’m sure it will be a new delightful experience, because, I can surely affirm, without hesitation, that “My Heart Burns For You” is the best fanfic I’ve ever read, from any fandom, from any site! Just know you’ve made my Zutara heart so happy, satisfied and at peace that I would love to read more about their story in “My Heart Burns For You” if you ever feel comfortable to write about it again.

Particularly, I would love to know about the 10 years before the Epilogue: the following days after Zuko and Katara got Kazu back to safety, how he came to be a firebender and his parents and everybody’s reaction to it, how Zuko trained him and interacted with his heir after having such a troubling experience with his own father, how was for Zuko and Katara to have a daughter, her birth, finding out she was a waterbender and Zuko’s closeness to her; besides, of course, the lives of their family and friends around them, from Jee and Ursa finally getting married to Aang and Toph’s marriage and pregnancy.

Finally, I’m just blown away by your story (such that I’m holding myself to not begin reading it again) and wished you could know that it will always have a special place in my fanfic’s shelf just like you will always have my admiration and deep gratitude.

Okay, I’ve been thinking this for a couple chapters now but why does it seem like Zuko’s personality has taken a completely turn around. At the beginning of this story he was sweet and loving and understanding but now it seems like his relationship with Katara is toxic and overly possessive. I hope this is something in the storyline for them to overcome because I don’t think I can sit here and read something so toxic and then label it as just loving too deeply or being protective.
