| doresz chapter 7 . 9/26/2008
I really like your story. Seems like I missed a chapter and it was good seeing this story updated. Your characers are spot-on, not OOC at all I think. Don't tell me this is the end, though. It's not, right?
| Aching Bones chapter 7 . 9/26/2008
Loved this story...
'His breath caught in his throat at the naked expression on her face. It was time. She'd made up her mind about something, and for the life of him, he both knew what it was and was terrified about what she might mean. "What, Bones?"'
Love how she put the fact to him and offered him an ultimatum...
'What I don't see, though, is the maker of the line and those promises doing anything about it, even as I've seen footsteps on both sides right up to the line. I know you're not a coward, but it's your line, so I assume you have some good reason for leaving it there. So make up your mind, Booth. I get lonely at night, and I'd rather spend them with you than keep looking for a ... surrogate. I'm tired of promises. So tell me, Seeley, are you that someone you were talking about earlier?...GO GIRL...
'and with an internal sigh, he voiced that one, critical, line-minding doubt. "Temperance, I hope so, but I don't want to stop working with you'...
'Then it's gone. No more line. Done." Pausing, his gaze still on hers, he thought and then added, "It's not out of the realm of possibility for involved couples to continue to work together, but it has to be approved by a therapist'...
So it was a ply all along to convince Sweets...wow...
'It would just involve... reinforcing... his conceptions of us toward a mutually agreeable end'...
Loved it...very clever...
| Aching Bones chapter 6 . 9/26/2008
This was a more action chapter but really liked it...
'I'd forgotten that the alpha male drags home the kill while the female keeps an eye out for trouble. She hauled my suspect up by the arms, and with a smile, shoved him toward me. I grabbed him by the shoulder, and shoved him back a step'
'Nice job, Lance," she said'
'My nonexistent tail was wagging. I'd helped with a hunt'...
And when they had sorted out everything after the arrest...
'She gave him one of their unreadable (to me) glances, and he looked over at me, then spoke, smiling. "We usually go to the diner when we wrap a case up. Want to come, Lance?'...
Love how Sweets thought...
'I could see why he was always trying to get her to try some. It was good pie, not merely seduction'...
and when Booth said to Bones...
'Well, you can take care of yourself, but that doesn't mean I won't continue to worry'...
I was surprised that he could admit it and I think so was Sweets...
'Well, guys," I said, "my work here is done. It seems like you've resolved your underlying issues. I see no need to continue our sessions."
They both smiled at me, seemingly only slightly surprised. Who knows? It's hard to tell with them, sometimes'...
Looking forward to more...
| Aching Bones chapter 5 . 9/26/2008
How did I miss this chapter?...
Love how Sweets refers to them being the 'centre' with everyone else always facing them...
'She took a central, direct, confrontational position, and he... prowled? patrolled'...
Loved...'Did he know this was the den, and did he acknowledge this was her pack'...and
'they hadn't fully decided where I fit. Hell, neither had I'...
Loved when they got to the office and Booth sat on the couch...how Sweets always noticed that they sat there together...
'In fact, since I'd been working with them, I don't think I'd ever seen one or the other take the chair in favor of the couch, if the other had already taken the couch. Interesting.'...
Love how Sweets realises that while Booth values her company and loves her out in the field with him...he worries about her all the time...protects her all the time...
'"It must be... unnerving working with someone who is willing to risk so much danger in pursuit of the close of the case." He said nothing, didn't even look at me, just took another sip of his coffee'...
'Bones can take care of herself."
Indeed. There'd been a few other agents there who gossiped for days about what a right hook she had. Granted, she took him by surprise when she hit him, but as one agent said, "Hardly anyone gets the drop on Booth." Except her, apparently. So I offered another observation. "Clearly. The way she took down Pam Nunan was... astonishing. Scary, too.'...

Ok, it's official...I just can't keep up with you...your brain & your fingers are too fast! LOL.
Love how in tune with each other B&B are. They know exactly what move the other is going to make, before they even make it...they understand the way that they are going to 'play' a certain angle on the case, without even talking about it & they always have each others back. Love the way that they both get lost in their own little world (of mating behaviours) - where only the 2 of them exist. :-)
Loved the "Good boy" comment at the end of chapter 6.
...chapetr 7...& we end up back at the subject of chapter 1...Brennan dating 2 guys at the same time.
**You said I just have to be ready to see it, but you know what, Booth? I'm not blind."
...if only...well we can all only hope that this is the case.
I liked the way that it was Brennan who first brought this up...all of the subtle hints that Booth had given her over time...but had done nothing about proving, everything he said to her, to be true.
**"Then it's gone. No more line. Done."
...yay finally!...If only. LOL.
The end of an other great story from you.
Continuing on my way to review the rest of your fics. :-):-):-)

even though that was a great ending, I'm sad the story's over. I hope you start writing another great story soon!

I love the nonexistant tail wagging

Very good as usual. Can't wait to see what Booth and Bones cook up next.
| celtic33 chapter 7 . 9/25/2008
it reminded of me of an Ellen Degeneres bit from years ago. she was watching a program on the mating habits of eagles (or some bird of prey) and that to mate they fly up as high as they can and then join in midair and dive down while in coitus and not pulling up until the act was finished. this of course means sometimes that they die in the act, that's how comitted they are. now don't we feel stupid for stopping to answer the phone?
great story as always
| writteninhaste chapter 7 . 9/25/2008
Okay, I absolutely loved this story. You captured Booth, Bones and Sweets - as well as the dynamics of the lab - perfectly. The analogy of the wolf pack also worked perfectly, without any fored analogies. Where did you get such detailed information on wolves from - it seems to have taken a great amount of research. Great story - definately one of my faves.
