| Sanee chapter 1 . 1/4/2014
Oh man, that was some good daddy! ShikaIno. I wept for Shikaku as he battled his depression and his oncoming alcoholism. And I was a bit mad at Shikamaru being so stubborn and not helping his dad, but I understood why. The sadness and the overcoming said sadness really helped balance the lemon later on. Thanks for writing this.
| Fellfire chapter 1 . 4/12/2013
Love this story! :D
| INUZUKALOVE4EVER chapter 1 . 12/21/2012
This was such a great story. Beautifully written and I love how you went about it. Never substituting Shikaku's love for his wife but instead relighting the fiery love he had once shared with inoichi. My first Shikaku's inoichi story and I'm very pleased. Great work! :D
| Celestialfae chapter 1 . 2/11/2012
I'm so glad things turned out for the better at least. My dad went through the same thing when my mom died. He didnt get drunk or hit me and my siblings but it was still kind of bad.
It was really hard for him.
TGFI (Thank god for Inoichi) or who knows what would happen to Shikaku.
| MagykjayEmmax chapter 1 . 12/26/2011
Aww. Great job with this story!
| Demon Vampire180 chapter 1 . 7/28/2011
I really liked the story set up. It was paced really nicely and it was fun to read. It's a shame there aren't more Inoichi x Shikaku stories. Especially ones as well written as this. Anyway, it's a fantastic job. Oh, and it's a shame there aren't more reviews.
| xXxKuramiXxX chapter 1 . 6/13/2011
I've always had an interest in this couple and by reading this you have driven me to further love this pairing, and besides all the grief and how devoted Inoichi was to Shikaku, I would like to think it was nicely written and I loved reading it, there is a defiant need for more of this pairing and I love that you took the inisuative on starting it off.
| Nata-Arci chapter 1 . 9/17/2010
Wow fabiolous job! 7,000 words? Very impressive! I love this couple like I love ShikakuxShibi (Haven't seen too many of those though). These two characters deserve much more love.
The way you wrote was easy and pleasant to read. I didn't see spelling mistakes, and the grammar was exellent (very impressive for a story this lenght).
Great job. Keep the love coming! :)

| timme chapter 1 . 2/15/2009
this might be a better pairing or whatever, but usually, burying grief by jumping into a relationship with someone else or replacing or forcing "love" is usually a very unhealthy way to deal with things. it's not healing in the sense of working through your grief, just forcing yourself not to feel it. ~shrugs~ i'm sure you've seen people do it. they can't stand being alone, never mind staying strong or true. messes you up psychologically, at least when it doesnt' work out.
decently written, even if the idea is a bit dubious.
| Demonic Angel Clone chapter 1 . 12/6/2008
I really like this story and I would like to see a continuation. Even so, this was a great oneshot.
I liked how they had each other once, only to have kids, get married, and in the midst of Shikato's grief, they find each other again even after being friends after all those years.
| Missy chapter 1 . 9/22/2008
I(no offense)liked this story!The pair is new to me,though.I love Shika's dad!Love your stories!
