| lunasgathering39 chapter 3 . 9/28/2008
Sorry it took so long to read and review. :) I'm quickly barreling towards moving day and the stress has me losing sleep and my appetite, two things I love almost as much as the Boys.
For someone who hasn't seen any of Season 4 this fits amazingly well with what Kripke and Co has given us so far. The need for Dean to feel he really is a good person, especially in the eyes of his little brother was a perfect ending to this. And thanks for the mention that there are many types of faith, not all blind, though most necessary. I loved the little mention of Meditation & Murder. I think it was one of the first of your stories I read. It still makes me laugh. _

It's me. I hope you didn't think I wasn't going to say thanks for sharing another story with us.
I was just thinking about you the other day and wondering if you enjoyed your vacation. I'm sorry to hear about your writers block, hope that and everything else get better soon.
I was on-line the other night when you posted, but didn't have time to read your story. I thought for a moment I could be the first one to review, than I wasn't able to get back until tonight.
You know that I love to see a new story from you, so thanks.
Of course I smiled as I read the beginning, love the picture of Dean sitting and sharpening his knife, or cleaning guns is another good scene.
Nice reference to your other story "MM". I still get creeped out by the water scene.
Sam's arguement to get Dean agree to the hunt was perfect. He did definitely cover all the reasons.
You did a good job with the description of the building. Nice touch with Dean casually letting Sam know about the camera.
I always get worried when the brothers have separate rooms, but at least they were by each other.
Poor Dean worrying about tofu, I remember his reaction from before. I like how your wrote Dean and Sam, kept them in character from what we have seen on the series about their religious beliefs. I loved the conversation the brothers had at the end of the story.
I would have never guessed a Golem. I was trying to figure out what creature it was from the clues and why Sam found the dirt so interesting.
Wonderful job with the third chapter. Loved the action and fight scene with the Golem. Dean's trust in Sam, 'If Sam said this would 'kill' it then he wasn't about to argue.'
Enjoyed your story, thanks.
I'm glad you were able to see the reunion scene between the brothers, I needed that episode. You might remember I didn't handle the season finale very well.
I'll wait for your next story, so until than, take care and thanks again.

This line was so quintessentially Dean that I had to smile (even though it was a suspenseful part): “I’m gonna kill him myself.” LOL
And I really liked that Sam realized this, and made sure Dean realized it too: “It wasn’t about the religion though. You get that, right? I mean this guy was clinically insane, he just used God as an excuse.” It's sad what some people do, using God as an excuse. Glad Sam and Dean realized that the priest was just crazy, not really acting on God's behalf.
This part was really suspenseful, and action-packed, and I really enjoyed it. I had to giggle at this: “Ok, but what about the drinking and the women?” “Fraid you’re on your own there.” LOL
Loved the little bit of a chick-flick moment there at the end.
Thank you, again, for such a lovely present. I'm favoriting this. And hoping beyond hope that it won't be long before you write us another story. :)
| bhoney chapter 2 . 9/24/2008
“There’d better not be tofu.” LOL I could just picture Dean's face when he said this. *giggles*
And I LOVE the banter, you do it SO well: “I’ve no idea what you mean, Sammy. I’m the model of good behaviour.” “Compared to what?” LOL I've really missed your stories, and the wonderful banter you write for the boys.
Loved Sam kicking Dean to get him to bow his head for the prayer. And I LOVED this line from Dean: “It’s like living with friggin Quasimodo.” LOL
Oh my gosh, you worked it in! Dean singing Kumbaya! ROTFL I was laughing SO hard at the thought of the look on his face. My stomach hurts now. I'm kinda wishing Sam'd had a camera too. Better yet, a video camera! Now there's a vid I'd pay to see. LOL
Oh no, the priest IS bad. And now he's after the boys. Eek! Must keep reading.

Aw, THANK YOU! This is the best birthday present, ever! And such a sweet dedication! :)
This made me laugh so hard I almost spit out the water I was drinking (note to self: don't drink anything while reading SupernaturalGeek's stories): “Right, cos that’s the bit that bothers you most. Not that you nearly died, but that you accidentally ate tofu.” ROTFL You KNOW how I love the idea of Dean and tofu mixing. LOL
And then this: “Nice try, Sam, but a little predictable don’t you think? Going for the whole ‘it’s about saving people’ angle - I seem to recall you’ve used your quota on that one this year already.” LOL Love how well the brothers know each other. Love the snark!
And then this: "He knew full well what it meant but he also knew that looking too pleased was a bad idea. Especially when Dean had a knife in his hand." *giggles* LOVED how Sam bribed Dean with M&Ms. And this cracked me up too: “No, Sam, I’m gonna walk around the creepy retreat looking for a murderous creature with just my sharp wit to attack it with.” Ah, SO Dean! LOL
You really have the characterization and the boys' voices down SO well. It really sounds like them talking, and I could totally picture this as an episode. I'm thinking your whole writer's block thing? It's an urban legend. ;)
And I am creeped out by that head priest guy. And very nervous about the separate rooms. That NEVER works out well...

This was great! I loved the show down and my favorite part was the end where Sam is telling Dean he is worthy of getting into heaven. I loved that! Can't wait for your next story! Katie

Another awesome chapter! I knew that head priest guy was evil! And by the way, Dean singing Kumbaya is priceless! Can't wait for more! Katie

I liked this story, thanks for writing and sharing it.

YAY I was so happy and excited to find three chapters at once! What a brilliant story lol. It read exactly how you wanted it to - humorous and entertaining. I was laughing my butt off through so much of it - it was awesome! Of course I'm going to have to talk about my favourite moments, cause they're just too good to not mention. ;)
First thing, I LOVED how Dean knew exactly what Sam's plans of attack were going to be to get him to go on the hunt. His comment about how Sam was just going to "skip the rest and move straight to that one" was brilliant. Dean SO would have said that lol and it's so true, Sam always does use the same few plans of attack, and his last one is always the "I'll do it myself" guilt trip. lol awesome!
Dean's comment on "stabbing the first person who tried to hold his hand" was great! lol wow. I could totally hear him saying that, as well. You know these boys so well! :) Dean's constant "men in dresses" line was perfect, too. Oh Dean... lol!
The attending of the service had me in stitches, right from Dean's cross being "a waving of fingers in a vague pattern" to his "If there is a God his eyes must have glazed over by now". Pure brilliance, and a great laugh! :D
Also Dean thinking of Gollum from LOTR first when hearing about the Golem was just right. Of course he would think of something from the movies first, as always!
Okay so now that I've gone on forever, my absolutely favourite part would have to be the end - "But when it came down to it he did have complete faith in something and, as luck would have it, that ‘something’ happened to have complete faith in him as well.
So perhaps that made him the lucky one after all." - it made me tear up a little! Because Dean does have complete faith in Sam, and the same is true with Sam to Dean. So that line was beautiful, and it's going down as one of my favourite lines in fanfiction, definitely. :)
Thank you for sharing this great story with us! I've missed reading new stories from you. I hope you do get inspired by Season 4, because I can't wait to read more from you! In the meantime I'm reading previous ones, which of course isn't bad at all! :) The reminder of "Meditation and Murder" at the beginning has me wanting to read that one, so... I'm off to read it! (Sorry for the long review lol, there was just so much to talk about in this story)Thank you again! Awesome, awesome story.

Awesome third and final chapter Michaela! Great that Sam managed to let Dean know how to kill the creature - just by destroying the first E on what was written on his forehead! Justice too the Father Wilson died, either because the creature was dead or, as I prefer to think, by a heart attack, with God getting retribution on him for misusing his religion.
Loved the ending Sam being Dean's Defence Attorney with God and just adored -
Dean looked sideways at Sam and grinned, feeling some of the weight lifting just like it always did. “So you’re gonna be my defence attorney with God?”
Sam grinned back. “What do you think?”
“Ok, but what about the drinking and the women?”
Sam held his hands up and started moving back round towards the passenger door. “Fraid you’re on your own there.”
A really great fic Michaela, thanks for sharing it with us. Don't stress about writing, relax for a while!

Aw, that was one of the best endings to a story I've read in awhile. So good!
What a great way to start my morning... thanks for that.
You truly do amaze me and I hope inspiration comes to you soon. You're a terrific writer. Until then, I'll just amuse myself with your previous writings. :D
| Dimminished chapter 2 . 9/24/2008
:D The part where they were made to sing, was read with a HUGE smile plastered on my face. I could clearly envision the look of disbelief and annoyance Dean was most likely leveling at Sam... great stuff there.
I am absolutely LOVING this story.
| Dimminished chapter 1 . 9/24/2008
I'm really excited about this story. I can't believe I missed it, but then again, I've been so busy catching up on your others that, yeah, I sorta can.
I love reading about how Sam goes about manipulating his brother - he's so good at it too. That whole exchange there had me smiling.
I also love how belligerent Dean is at the moment. I'm glad Sam talked him in to taking the job though... fun fun!
And now, so I don't miss anything else from you that may pop up, I'm gonna click the little favorite box below; I should have done that from the start. Catch ya next chappie. :D
| ziggy.uk chapter 2 . 9/24/2008
Yet another superb chapter Michaela, with some perfect one liners again, and little thought again!
“Think there’s a no talking rule?” Dean whispered and Sam shrugged. If there was it might just work in their favour, given the chances of his brother coming out with something inappropriate.
“Anything?” murmured Sam and Dean glanced at him. “Not really. But old preacher boy up there really doesn’t like us very much. He’s been staring a hole in our table for the last five minutes and when I smiled at him you’d have thought he just swallowed something that moved.”
Good job that the light bulb finally came on for the thoughts niggling at the back of Sam's mind! At least they now know the creature and have assumed right that Father Wilson is controlling it! Pity they don't know that he has overheard and plans to finish them off before they can sort the situation out!
Saw your little comment about Kumbaya at the end of the chapter and somehow, randomly, those two people singing at the wedding in Four Weddings and a Funeral popped into my mind! Your comment really made me smile though as could so imagine Dean rolling his eyes at the song and Sam hoping desperately that Dean would not say something embarrassing!
