I wasn't enjoying Renesme's childish antics in this chapter. She purposefully allowed Nahuel's advances to continue in view of Jacob just because she didn't get what she wanted earlier from Jacob. I loved when Estela hit on Jacob because it turned the tables around, it was karmic.

Interesting methodology by Olivier...its interesting to see a story that incorporates modern conveniences into the hunting habits of red-eyed vampires. However, the fact he made a plan to lure Alyssa to a motel via text should have alerted Alice immediately. If it had been an hour then that should have been plenty of time for Alice to get a vision and save Alyssa from being captured. She could have simply had one the male vampires deliver a message or collect Rename's friends for a 'sleep over'. Seems a little unlikely that Olivier's ploy is feasible/credible.

Why didn't she just text her family for help before class started. Why did she wait so long to try and text her family.
