| Velv3tteV3nom chapter 9 . 3/3
So far I absolutely love your story! Makes me want to visit Ireland even more!
| sneakyslytherin.severus chapter 38 . 3/1
I realize that I came to this story very late, long after it began its journey of creation in 2008, but I just wanted to leave my opinion anyways. :)
This is brilliant writing, and a gorgeous depiction of Ireland - I've been once, when I was very young, and hope to return one day. Over the past few days, as I've read your story, I've been able to return from the comfort of my couch. Your characterization of Jareth was wonderful, since he was still every inch the tempestuous Goblin King, but with a carefully-concealed vulnerability. Sarah, too, was very true to her spirit and fire in the film, and while sometimes I wanted to hit her across the face or accidentally trip her so that she'd just accidentally fall onto Jareth's face, I suppose even the best characters have rough days.
All in all, thank you so much for writing, and I'm glad that I got to enjoy your work despite my late arrival to the Underground. :)
| Ellen Weaver chapter 38 . 3/1
Well now, here I am at the end of the story.
When are you writing another one?
All demands aside, I enjoyed this immensely. I like the way you incorporate mythology, pop-culture, and sci-fi and fantasy references into this tale, while also adding your own creative elements. It's a standout among Labyrinth stories, but it has everything it needs to have-excitement, adventure, smexytimes, prophecy, destiny, and sparkly glitterbabies. I loved it. Thank you so much for writing this!

I feel very simpatico with you, good author. I swear I've never read this story until TheRealEatsShootsAndLeaves recommended it to me last week, and now I feel like I ought to apologize for plagiarizing it, although I totally haven't. Mostly it's all very good, and I am looking forward to Jareth's fantasy sequence very much. What will it be like? Mundane domestic bliss? Picnics with the family? Or something dark and frightening? I can't wait.
| Ellen Weaver chapter 20 . 2/28
Dirty waves of stench following the King... hilarious.
Hall of portraits and His Nibs jumping the gun over what he intends to be a shotgun wedding... sobering.
| Ellen Weaver chapter 19 . 2/28
Lord, Jareth, exhaust ME. This chapter was delightful. I adore your vocabulary and it's a treat to see the Labyrinth through Jareth's eyes.
| Ellen Weaver chapter 16 . 2/28
You have to know that when Sarah offered her challenge, I yelled "SWEEET!" so loud I disturbed the entire household. WELL worth it. I LOVE Sarah! Best thing ever. I cannot wait to see what happens next! This is awesome! This is the best!
| Ellen Weaver chapter 11 . 2/27
Of all the injuries Sarah gets in this chapter, I think the insult stings the most. Sarah's not the bride? Burrrrrn!
| Ellen Weaver chapter 5 . 2/27
Hoo boy. I can tell this story has me addicted already. I particularly love this chapter. It's bouncy and jubbly and connects the story to the film so beautifully. Also, you've indicated this will be a dark incarnation of Jareth. I'm pretty excited to see how dark dark can get. We must not go with Goblin men, we must not buy their fruit.
If wishes were horses, beggars would ride. And if wishes are currency, Sarah will buy.
| MonDieu666 chapter 34 . 2/26
This chapter was your most perfect, most sublime. I guess I should add 'yet' because I haven't finished. Jareth was practically a work of art in this offering. Their conversation/argument/confession was just enthralling and beautiful. That's all I wanted to say.
| MonDieu666 chapter 28 . 2/25
It's weird reviewing a story that I know was completed almost a year ago. You're probably going about your day and hello! well after that random beginning, I'm absolutely enthralled with your story. There is an elegance and a real depth to it that sometimes ff lacks. All those reference to real mythology demonstrates your passion for the subject and the heavy cross over between classic folk lore and the film. I watched it first when I was really young and all the beautiful, tragic subtext went straight over my head and then I rewatched it a few years back, and got this understanding of Jareth as more than an antagonist. Your delivery of Jareth is so spot on and you give him the humanity that was only hinted at in the movie. Sarah is wonderful too with a combination of maturity but still traits of her 15 year old self. Every time the goblins talk, I die laughing. I've smashed through the first half of the story and saving the rest for my day off but I just wanted to jump in and give you a kudos. I just listened to Rise by the Frames and you were right, it is a stunning song. This has made me want to watch the movie all over again.
| Exhale Vanilla Lace chapter 38 . 2/25
That was... the best fan fiction I have read in a very long time. You have done us all a service by sharing here for us to see. Brilliant and unpredictable; I cannot express the emotional upheaval I went though reading this. The tale you wove was absolutely riveting. Hats off to you dear author, you certainly deserve it.
| HolyAngel1996 chapter 19 . 2/24

| One with the Wind chapter 38 . 2/24
I could not stop reading this everything about it was perfect. You really nailed the characters and the relationship between Jareth and Sarah was spot on.
Thank you for writing it! It was exactly what I was looking for!
| Xiah-sensei chapter 1 . 2/19
Fantastic. The whole story... just fantastic.
