|Reviews for RONMAN THE BARBARIAN!|
| Rioshisama chapter 29 . 11/2/2012
Goldstar for the wizard! Bissau! And now I realize I stayed up all day and night reading this thing. Huzzah!
| Eddy13 chapter 15 . 5/27/2012
Man, talk about bad timing on the part of a certain rodent. At least when the moment was interrupted in 'StD', it led to good thing. Something's been on my mind, though. In the beginning, a certain seer was possessive of our favorite barbarian, but here, she seems to be okay with the girl he's fallen in love with. Could it be she's let go? A few answers, please.

Oh my lord! That has to be one of the funniest things that I have ever read. I absolutely cannot wait to finish this story.
Your take on barbarian culture:
"Yes, I like you. But this just isn't right." He tried to see beyond the bosom heaving in his face. "Dad says that the first time for a girl is special. It has to be done right. Not like this."
"Oh, I see." Tara said quietly. She laid a golden tress in either of Ronman's large hands. Closing her eyes, she made a half-hearted effort to pull away. All the while her hands feverishly undid his breeches and loin cloth.
"Please no, warrior! I am but a pure and timorous maiden. Be gentle!" She opened her eyes. "Was that right?"
And Ron's essential Ronness:
"Wait a minute; Ronman, don't you know where babies come from?"
"Sure. You sack a city, pick an orphan out of the ashes and bring it home. That's how we got Hana."
Are absolutely a riot. I finally had to quit reading at work because I couldn't keep from laughing.
Keep up the incredible work!

This was impressive to say the least. It was funny, frightening, fulfilling, and fabulous (talkin' 'bout Flickerfoot) in turn. It managed to use the characters pretty truthfully while establishing and enacting a very good and somehow also very subversive Blood and Thunder. It doesn't take itself seriously, but it doesn't act like it shouldn't either; which, to my mind, makes it a perfect parody. It's kinda what I imagine Terry Pratchet would write if he wrote Kim Possible fan-fiction based in a Conanesque AU.
Enough gushing, let's get down to brass tacks. The editing and voice were very, very good by ff standards, though not really perfect. The characters are, as stated, very true to their origin with a few fairly drastic departures that I find I can ignore for the sake of the story but would probably bother me otherwise. My biggest issue was chapter 26. Chapter 26 could have been very sweet, and very nearly was, but the overflow of Princess Bride quotes and other miscellaneous shout-outs left it less than what it could and should have been. This was one of the points where the referential nature of the story worked against it, and there are a few. Finally, some of the references to canon KP events and dialogue could feel shoehorned by an author who wanted to remind us that this is a KP fan-fiction and not just him using very similar characters in an original work.
Over all, this is very good stuff and one of your crowning accomplishments.
Hope this reaches you,

Okay, normally I finish a whole story before commenting, but this one is long and I felt compelled to comment.
This is hilarious. To a degree I had thought impossible in fanfiction.
Can't make any overarching claims, but will once I finish,

What is it with further going back in time and magic getting stronger? why is all that lost later?
Ronman finally got his Kimila and vice versa, and do I see a possibility for continuing on the tale?
Keep up the very good writing that you do,

Great going so far,
Poor Ronman, he can have everyone (literally) except Kim.
I'm interested in how this will develop.
I hope to read the rest soon.
keep up the very good writing that you do,

Just started this one, looks promising.
The KP universe is just filled with reincarnation, isn't it?
I hope to read the rest soon.
keep up the very good writing that you do,

Geez. You can make even a mature-themed tale of lust and passion seem clean. Honestly there was nothing pornographic about this segment at all. Have to admit it was long, though. VERY long. So long that I have to take breaks between each installment.
It was very tasteful and arousing, in a subjective sort of way. Zita had her reasons for being with Ron and Younger achieving what he always wanted was a touching scene of a dream fulfilled. In short, it was a happy ending.
Ron and Ruthless' constant banter is a joy to read and I cannot imagine a more entertaning pair. If Rufus could talk in the series the way he does here, who knows how many more memorable encounters would have transpired.

Wow. You managed to keep it heated but clean. I know I'm a very latecomer to a the fic but it has peeked my interest. I always enjoyed the Conan fics (about one of the few decent Arnold roles) and am a big fan of sword and sorcery.
It's funny how you added the little tidbits of Kim Possible references into the fic. The Actuarians? Seriously? "I'm a mercenary. I can work anywhere." Very clever, my friend.
Dude...barbarian boys get all the luck. Life was short in that era so people had to get to making babies as soon as they were able. Wonder what other "adventures" Ron's luck will get him into?
| TheRedKommie chapter 29 . 6/17/2010
HAHHAHAHAHA, Chuck Norris as a god... the earth doesn't push itself down!
The lines from all the other stuff was great!
Loved the story, though it was a lil "rough" around some of the edges, but I think that "might" have been you style for it (ie on purpose?). Really enjoyed it dude!

Having never seen the Bridgette Nielsen version of the character and still waiting on actual footage to see what to make of the supposedly impending Rose McGowan version, your efforts in fleshing out our beloved KP as the flame haired Battle Maiden represent the majority of what I know about the character barring the one time I looked up info about the character via Wikipedia. So everything's all good IMO ;D

Yep...the man with a plan always succeeds when he charms his lady's mother. A daunting task and the reason why so many guys fail in their efforts to woo...but when successful, means all the difference!
All kinds of glad you got these two crazy kids together - FINALLY! - and that they have proven that they are more than physically compatible with one other. That and Ron's learned well from his times with various lovers, of course, but that goes without saying. Honestly can't wait to see what the next chapter brings :)
| BlueEyedBrigadier chapter 27 . 1/7/2010
Uh...guessing you're a fan of the good C.R. Norris then, eh Mr. Wizard? Since you went and made him the freaking equivalent of Zeus in this universe's overall pantheon!
Honestly, I was totally sucked in by this chapter and I am definitely glad that Ronman decided to bust out the Actuarian cunning full force in his plan to defeat Kim in battle though putting her people's lives in jeopardy (technically). Just hope the abdication and return of James to the throne is a quick one ;)
| BlueEyedBrigadier chapter 26 . 1/6/2010
Wow...Ronman really did a number on old Shegoix, didn't he? She can snark all she wants but she must have really cared for Ronman if she's will to (grudgingly) stump up for Kim to get her resurrected by Grandpa Chuck. Feel sorry for her in a lot of ways, same as I do for the series Shego, though I doubt she'd like anyone's pity or sympathy ;)
Still...Kim's back! Only the impossible feat of Ronman beating her in a fight without her throwing it or having outside interference and all's good in Middletonia!
Oh...and the background for Ann life and her relationship with James? Definitely the right mix of cliche and canon behaviour, since didn't Ann and Nana have a good-natured snarkiness to their relationship in the series?
