Great story so far!
Update soon please!
| Spencersgirl27 chapter 9 . 3/8/2010
I can't wait to see what happens when Joseph realizes that Mick isn't going to be the one waiting for him. I also want to see if Beth can handle Joseph since he's a vampire that's been out in the sun for a way longer time than Mick was. I mean afterall Joseph and his freshies, not like "bottled" blood would do it for him.
| francis2 chapter 9 . 2/24/2010
Finally! I was wondering if you would leave Josef alone in the desert for months. Poor Beth in a foreign land. She didn't even realize that people speak English in India, too. To be in a foreign country can be daunting, but I'm sure she's strong and willing. I hope she will meet with Josef soon and get him back home. I chuckled at the remark about the land bridge.

My dear friend! How absolutely wonderful to find you back among us. I was thrilled to find you were going to continue this story. You can't leave him out there in the desert!
I wonder if Josef would be sleeping so soundly in the sand if he knew that it wasn't Mick who was coming after him?
| Vampire Reader chapter 9 . 2/11/2010
The last comment I made on this story was in July of last year. I'm glad you are back! Please tell us the rest of the story. How is Josef going to get home? Don't make us wait so long for the next installment.
| Jack Cassidy chapter 9 . 2/11/2010
I love it!
Keep up the good work!
| moonjat54 chapter 9 . 2/10/2010
Welcome back. I am glad that you decided to finish this. We just can't leave poor Josef stuck in the middle of nowhere. He is a city boy after all. I feel sorry for Beth, I would be lost as well. Not a world traveller I'm afraid. Thanks for coming back.
| LanaJoy chapter 9 . 2/10/2010
What do you mean, "not my most popular story"? I've been waiting forever for you to post some chapters on this fic! I really like it and can't wait to see it finished. :D
Love the descriptions by the way - As interesting as some airports are, when they're hard to navigate, they suck! I feel really sorry for Beth! And to think, she still has to deal with Josef at the end of her long trip. *sighs*
I can almost smell the camel now... (haha) UGH! Josef is gonna be SO cranky by the time he gets to Beth. Poor Beth!
I hope the next chapters are a bit longer - I'm in dire need of some Josef and Beth! :)
| silvanelf chapter 9 . 2/10/2010
Amiga, you're writing again! Wonderful! I hope your inspiration lasts.
I can't wait to see Josef's face when he realizes that Beth is there to pick him up! I've missed your stories. : )
| rungirl60 chapter 9 . 2/10/2010
I am glad you decided to finish this story. I reread it recently because I found it so captivating that Josef could jump out of a plane in the desert and survive. I look forward to more updates!
| nightcap chapter 8 . 7/29/2009
I liked the description of the head bobble from the Indians. Must be something you noticed during your time there. Nice touch!
Spoiled blood must be pretty nasty. Makes me think of spoiled milk! Eew! (shiver) I think I'd be looking at those camels pretty close if I were Josef!
| nightcap chapter 7 . 7/26/2009
Stay out of the sun! LOL! I'll admit it's good advice if Josef could take it.
I wonder what camel blood tastes like? A bit greasy perhaps? hm.
You had Mick down during his face-off with Beth. I can see him look away as he considered the last time he'd spent any time in the desert. You have his movement down! Classic Mick!
So...off Bethany goes to play in the sand and sun. What a surprise for Josef to have her come for him instead of Mick. And! I wonder...will Mick stay in the car and be a good little vampire like Beth tells him?
| francis2 chapter 8 . 7/23/2009
Oh this is wonderful! Thank you for updating. So Beth is on her way, and Josef shows how good he is at trades. The boy is great, too. I love how you depict the village and the people. Now I hope Josef can get through for four days on the bottle alone. Doesn't the blood deteriorate in the heat? I can't wait for your next update.
