Noooo you can't stop here! I know your life is probably mental and you have said you will finish but it has been a looong while now. I would really love for you to post even unfinished chapters and notes. Though I guess at least we have got to the point of them being together and out in the open.

Hey, did you find a beta? Cause usually I would say the grammar and spelling etc side of your story is pretty great, in addition to the story itself being great! You had one little slip in this chapter; diluted when you meant delusional I think!

Aw this was probably the most impressive chapter yet. Beautifully written and so moving. You put humour and emotion side by side and made a fantastically real chapter. The parts with Lily missing her parents and traditions and the final scenes really moved me.

Really good conversation and though it was frustrating you created understanding too and a real feeling of sympathy when everything was so rubbish between them

Aw that was so cute and fun and adorable. I loved the quirky date and the things that went wrong. I liked lily hiding it from her friends that morning but her asking him to keep it secret felt pretty awkward, but I suppose that is fitting.
You did make one mistake that I think you'll want to change...when she went on that date with Kevin you said he ordered strawberry shortcakes and that she was allergic to strawberries which James knew! And in this chapter you had the house elf say strawberry cheesecake was her fave and then she and James ate it!
Also, I'm guessing you're American or a not British nationality so I'll excuse it (and frankly you write brilliantly English most of the time!) but we really rarely get winters where rivers or streams would freeze any more. It used to happen in the 1800s and early 1900s but not in recent times at all. Plus, it would never be cold enough to freeze from Oct to March or April, maybe Dec-Jan at the most we get cold weather and sometimes a bit of snow in Feb and March but not long enough cold spells to have proper freezing like that, even in Scotland. But there are ice skating rinks in many towns so I can imagine Lily learning there. Xxx
