This was a great story. I was wondering why you had Snape a Selkie and I see it was because of a prompt. I thought you filled that prompt brilliantly! Also this story could've been rated a T, and not an M. Thanks for writing.

I love the way you write, the use of present tense, the way you can paint a picture with just a few words. "Ginny, tiny and coppery in the fireligt" and this is how I've seen her ever since.
The Silvering Divide has been one of my favourites for years. I think this is the sixth time I'm reading it and while the story is lovely, it is the cadence of the tale that makes me come back time and time again.

This story was so beautiful and quite romantic. You have a way with words.

Fantastic story and I really love your Snape in this - he seemed younger and more vital than he often does in fic. Fantastic though Alan Rickman was, he makes it easy to forget Snape's only 38 by the end of Deathly Hallows. You did a great job of drawing him and Hermione slowly but inexorably together at a believable pace. And I suppose I can forgive Ron and Harry their respective... prattishnesses? if Hermione can! (My earlier pyromaniacal anger has faded, but I was terrified a good fic was going to slide into Twilight territory.)

I find myself even angrier with Harry than with Ron right now. Ron's behaviour was outrageously offensive, and then Harry comes away with some utter tripe about *Hermione* being cruel? No, frankly I'd have been cheering her on if she'd hexed Ron, but instead she acted in a mature manner. She told him why his behaviour was offensive then left - what does Harry think she should have done? Shagged Ron so his feelings didn't get hurt? She doesn't owe Ron any explanation - her body is her own to do with as she pleases, without reference to anyone else. Genuinely really angry now. I really hope you intended Harry to come across as a pillock because the moment Hermione starts thinking like that, I'm closing my browser and setting my phone on fire.
