|Reviews for A New Beginning|
| Halo221 chapter 35 . 1/22/2012
::sigh:: Another amazing work! This story was beautifully written, the characters were well-developed and while not identical to the OC, still very believable, and I enjoyed the variations in plot to make an all new story with much of the same feel as the original. An instant favorite! I'm off to read the conclusion now...

I registered at FanFiction solely to tell you how much I enjoyed 'A New Beginning'. A great plot, excellent storyline, and you write very well. With some minor editing I think you have the makings of an excellent publication. You do nice work and I enjoyed it so much I had to read it through in one session. Thanks for sharing it...

I just finished reading your story and I was amazed that this was your first P & P story. I was happy to see that you held true to Elizabeth's and Darcy's characters, but in a new twist on the original.
I very much enjoyed your story and hope you have more waiting to be written.

I love your story!
It is beautifully written and exactly how I would picture them in a more private matter.
You realy have a gift for writing, please write some more!
Maybe something with amnesia or an accident before they met, or...
Greetings from Holland.

My heart is breaking for the Darcys. This chapter and last were especially well written.
| Sgordon chapter 35 . 10/16/2011
I know I should have reviewed each chapter or so, but truly I was wrapped up too tight to stop. This story was wonderful! You were able to expose a beautiful character in Darcy. I think those of us who are so enamored of "him" believe this to be the Darcy we've always imagined him to be, brilliant, wry, warm:altogether excellent in essentials. The exposure of Mr./Mrs Bennett was also enlightening and not the characatures usually written. The story flowed well, from interest to passion, flowing from progressing into excitement so to speak. I must tell you that Chapter 30, the wedding gift, was the best! Also, so glad you wrote the "epilogue" story, and I think T is just fine! This is 2011, for G-d sake, not 1813. Write more please.

I am now in ch 21 - I love, love, love your dialogue and what you have done with this story! It is beautiful and touching. It feels so much fuller, more fleshed out, more sincere than so many others I have read. I just had to stop again and tell you when I got to the place Lizzy put her head on his chest...

I just came across this story - wow - I love it! That was the best Darcy meets Wickham in Meryton scene I have read - and I am a true jaff addict and have read hundreds. It is what I have always wished he had done and YOU did it! Darcy is such a wonderful man but so tortured it breaks my heart - can't wait til he lets Lizzy love him. Feeling the need to help the cart driver and boy, then their families, feeling guilty that he allowed his sadness to show to Bingley, giving the girls the books - you have created a very believable and endearing man. And his delight in Lizzy's character is a promise of happiness to come - ooh it's going to be so good ...
Well, got to get back to reading - just wanted to say THANK YOU for a great story!
| Kage Hasu chapter 35 . 9/22/2011
That was an absolutely wonderful story. Very well written and how you had included the way they spoke during those days made it all the more enjoyable.
I very much liked how - even though you neutralized the problem of Wickham and Lidia and Darcy and Lizzie were not so at odds with each other - there was still plenty of conflict and things were going wrong and everybody was not happy all at the same time.
All to often I see that when people rewrite a story with changes that make it completely different they either follow the story-line almost exactly with very few changes (something that I myself am guilty of) or they fix all the unhappy things that happened in the original manuscript and don't have any bad things happen at all. Which of course is quite nauseating.
Another thing I quite enjoyed was how you portrayed both Mr. and Mrs. Bennet. Sometimes you find that on the internet (and even in the movies) they seem to be quite 2 dimensional and without any huge human vice (in Mr. Bennet's case more than the Mrs.) or in the case of the Mrs. really has no positive things to say about the woman.
| Lady Forrest chapter 32 . 9/4/2011
I just love this story. I was only going to write a review at the end. However... I can not understand why Elizabeth has to be so difficult to Darcy when he needs to be fully focused on his case. He didn't refuse her just wants to postpone the wedding.I find her to be a pest when he has done so much for her. :(
Wonderful story by the way!
