This was very well written. I loved it to bits,it was sad yet had tender loving moments.
HeilanBard chapter 1 . 12/5/2008
That was ridiculously cute. I couldn't stop smiling at the end. I was a little confused with the flashbacks. It took me awhile to catch on that they were from different life times. Part of that might be the ridiculous hour at which I'm reading this though.
Victoria chapter 1 . 12/4/2008

S. Wright chapter 1 . 12/4/2008
Towards the ending, I felt the prickling of tears as the life that Sasuke and Naruto could have lived came towards its end and how they found each other sort of, when they had their final meal. And I happily admit to shedding a couple tears when the two lovers were reunited at end.

Well, I think you have made a liar out of me. I thought that I could not write another review without repeating myself by praising you for your wonder storytelling capabilities and I very glad for that.

Overall, this story amazed me. I was drawn by the visuals, the glimpses of life happening as Naruto moved through the Courthouse gave the reader, like Naruto, a moment to pause but then to continue on his way without taking real notice of what he seeing or to become ill when faced with the maggot rich ramen. Something isn't right in the Courthouse or outside, it is like being in the Twilight Zone, and Naruto is wondering how he had gotten there in the first place.

Then we move on the second part and the confusion sets in. For three months Sasuke had been stuck in the awful purgatory wanting to move on. With Naruto there now, the pair try to think of reason why they had not be able to move on. The thing that struck me the most was Naruto's intuition about the situation. I'm not saying that knew what was needed for them to move on or anything, but it was his reactions to Sasuke. Like they never met, but he asked if he did, he felt an light tug in the back of his mind when he said Sasuke's name, just little things subconsciously leading them to their answer and what they had missed.

The third part is Our Life as it Should Have Been as told by Sasuke. Here come the heart strings and my praise.

Romance is the flighty fantasy of dashing heroes and breathless heroines. Romance is two people in love and it's not fleeting or fly by night. It knowing the other person's quirks, while enjoying time spent in their presences, as much as it is wanting to see that person if only for one last time.

The way you write Sasuke's love for Naruto is a perfect love. It's not ideal; it is real, raw, and passionate. It consumes him utterly in its hunger and I could go on for days, but think you best described it in the final scene in the cafeteria. No one else existed in the world but them.

I was close to tears at the end. You really go for the heart, any emotion that could be tapped drawn into this bittersweet life of should have been. They were so happy. They could have been happy, perfect...anything and everything had they just met!

The fourth part was acceptance. To have found each other but it was too late now. Their lives were over but they shared so much in the little bit of time they had together. It was just them, their first and last meal together. They walked through to their next life but before parting they shared one last meal to forget and kiss, not to say good-bye, but a promise to find each other again.

Then our two lovers have their happy ending.

Michelerene, you are gifted in storytelling. This short story again proves that you are the gold standard in this fandom, but more so, you are truly, truly talented. I just may breakdown and read your Harry Potter story for the simple pleasure of reading your work. I am jealous of your Beta reader, just for the simple fact that she gets to read your work before anyone else.

But I have to admit, the part at the end where they're both toddlers, hahaha, that was adorable; really very sweet. That was an awesome new idea for a story! I don't have enough words at the moment to truly describe this. Consider now speechless. _
