I think you are under valuing naruto's stealth, he painted the whole hokage's monument as an academy student and didn't get caught until he was done and then the only person able to track him down after the fact was Iruka... so I would say he is pretty stealthy when he wants to be...

Shika's new skill is pretty cool though, is it his spiritual half of his chakra? or would it be him physical half? or something else?

oo, I remember what my question a few chapters ago was! why was naruto out of breath from such a short run? he already had pretty good stamina and that short run wouldn't have winded him as an academy student, much less now.

why didn't naruto just make a group of clones for the kids to play with? and for his taijuitsu practice he could have worked on lifting the weights without the use of chakra and wearing them even when he isn't training, making him stronger and faster which will help make his taijuitsu better even if he can't add to his repertoire of moves. I am also kind of surprised that Shika hasn't made naruto get different clothes yet, not only to not draw as much attention, but also so he doesn't have to keep looking at the bright color himself...

You are brilliant! I would never have expected such a find. I like that this story is about training and missions without explicit love crap. I'm glad someone noticed that these kids are pre-teens. I love this story as is.

psst- I do have to say that I hate Aya, but it's her personality more than anything else...too annoying. However I understand that she's a necessary evil.

Nice chapter Shun, definitely setting up the stage for the two genin most shoved to the side in canon to actually improve to be powerhouses in their own right. 10 awesome points to you, taken from Naruto's account since he doesn't use them, of course. I cannot wait to see what this mission for the new and improved Team Oblivion will be like...and just how quickly it will go to hell, of course. Now for the fun part!

To Shino, the reason why you weren't picked was because due in large part to you calm, logical, and methodical thought process which is to be lauded in many circles you would not be able to push the bounds of Naruto and Shikamaru's sanity to the same extent as having a girl that loves sharp pointy objects and goes gooey eyed in the face of a good explosion and the female, dango-eating, and snake-humping incarnation of Naruto could. You are, however, very good at giving off the creepy scientist vibe, which is why I was personally hoping for you and Gaara to team up against more people.

To Tenten, you really are one of my favorite characters from the original series, and I was honestly dismayed that you didn't get more screen time. That being said though, after seeing Shikamaru's tag you can't honestly expect me to believe that you didn't need some privacy. I know that if /I/ was in your shoes I would have. *drools at the thought of the Lightning Tag of Awesome(patent pending)* And with the casual death threats against Shikamaru, such as aiming at his eye with a kunai, you can't convince me that you aren't doing the kunoichi version of flirting with him.

To Shikamaru, you fail at being lazy. Can't you see that putting a little bit of effort into being around Aya in the short term could allow you to not have to put up with her in the long term by dumping her entirely into Naruto's lap! Your failing in the ways of the lazy bastard sickens me. *throws In Case of Aya earplugs at Shika's head*

To Naruto, in light of your efforts with the Kyuubi, and your sealless shadow clones, you may have your man card back, along with 20 awesome points.
