This sounds good. It will take several chapters to wrap up. Plus the council will not be happy. But the Hyuuga family will be a powerful support. I think the story has been very clever so far.

This is a fantastic, well written, and just plain AWESOME story! It's so out of the ordinary and not generic (which is A, if you ask me). I like the way you have written it. You almost never find a story like yours and the fact that you have written it so well is even better. You have great OC's and you make sure your characters are in character, and in all honesty, have made a great story.

I can't really guess how you will end it, which to me, makes a story ten times better.

Although you have a few grammar mistakes here and there, it's still VERY good. Love all your stories and keep writing!

I'm new to the fandom and was really rather surprised by the lack of gen fic, especially concerning Shikamaru. This fic, however, has more than met all my gen and friendship needs. It's gorgeously written and plotted, and your Naruto and Shikamaru come across very strongly in character. The structure of the fic is a nice mimic of the series itself, what with the arcs and training segments. It would have been easy for the story to get bogged down in places, but you've managed to keep the plot and characterisation continuously engaging and on point. I love your Shikamaru especially (I am rather biased in this area, I must admit!), and think you handle his intellect and strategic abilities very well. I'm looking forward to the next arc and seeing how they handle the political elements of the plot, especially as I can't wait to see more Shikaku-Shikamaru interactions on top of the Naruto-Shikamaru scenes.

I like this chapter, cause the atmosphere is somehow pleasant, no battle and no hard decisions. And finally you include the situation in konoha. I wander if there will be pairings since they're coming home. But something might happen again and they won't be able to stay long, ne... update soon..
