And the plot thickens. I have to say, I think Naruto's working his usual magic on Kohaku. The Hyuuga is impressed by him, and they seem to have similar mindsets.

You know, were this any other team from the Rookie Nine, I'd think they'd be in trouble. However, between Naruto's nigh-limitless chakra and determination, and Shikamaru's brains, they've got a pretty good chance of making this work.

I'm pretty sure that the plural for Ryo is Ryo. And I think the fight scene was well done. Not too over the top with details, but nicely specific.

Not bad, not bad at all. I quite like it actually. The story is well planned out so far in my opinion. I would however suggest a Beta Reader. There are a lot of times where some of the sentences are confusing because the wording is wrong or something is spelled incorrectly.

But it's not so hard that you just want to exit the screen. I do like the characteristics of both. The political play was hilarious to me. I fully enjoyed reading about Shikamaru's idea to just move Naruto to Team 10 if everything went downhill when they returned.

I do enjoy this story. Very compelling. It's been a while since you've updated I noticed. I'm hoping we receive another update soon, I'd like to see where you go with this.

Wah! I've finished it until the latest chappie. It's amazing, Naruto team with Shika. Like it the plot is interesting and I can imagine it happening in the anime. And also they are in character that's i like the most and also I like Shika the most... Well, about the last chapter could it be that they've found Kohaku Hyuuga, not sure.. update soon..

I don't see many ShikamaruNaruto friendship fics, well long-term projects anyways, so it was really great reading this.

Somethings are a little drawn out, but I respect that because well...I'm just a lazy person, and this fic is for those a little smarter and are capable of making sense of everything you're writing haha!

No grammatical errors, and an interesting plot. But...did Iruka appear in this story at all? Just wondering, I totally can't remember (because I thought he;d be a bit outraged at the whole 'Naruto is the demon fox' thing at Konohagakure).

Have the toad sage train boath of them its perfect a familliar face and it would be a interesting team and they could actually have a chance agianst the s ranked nin if the king of pervs decided he would only make sure they didnt get them selves killed evn though he could take this dude so that way if naruto and shika did it they would have a big poloitical advantage seriously imagin that team and afterwords if ero sennin trained both of them just imagin it.

as for the White Chakra, is it just the physical aspect of Chakra? or conversely the spiritual component? every time i hear it i keep thinking of the Hatake clan's famed "White Chakra" though -.- even though I dont think its ever popped up in the manga with Kakashi.. but then again it might have to do with the (broken)sword being a conduit for said White Chakra.. tho im not sure if i reached that conclusion due to canon or fanfiction.. p

I'm really liking the story so far so continue the good work. Also i think that Naruto should start acting a bit more mature and less dumb like the shippuden Naruto still a bit reckless but thinks before acting a bit,... he is traveling with Shika so being a bit smart wouldn't surprise anyone.

I really like your story so far, it's pretty interesting and the characters seem fairly in character so far.

I'd gone and read your profile and noticed that there's going to be romance in this story. Is it possible for you to just leave it out? They're a bit too young for romance, and the story is more interesting as an adventure/friendship fic anyways.

I think poor Shika should receive s rank pay just for dealing with Naruto he definately needs danger money sometimes. Can't wait to find out what the deal with Daichi is.

two he acts as a protector or something like that and no some kind of evil ruler because he is there and the ppl dont get more scared that he will get mad

3 if he is not a evil ruler or something like that only means 2 things: 1 he wants to be in low profile (this would be not likely because if that was it he wouldnt protect them) 2 he is not a bad guy and is wanted because he made some political enemies or he disobayed an order that was evil or atleast he is reformed

Oh wow. Like wow wow. I really really like this story. You couldn't imagine my happiness in finding a good Shikamaru story. Well him and Naruto are two of my favorite characters, so i was totally stoked when i saw this story.

And then i started reading it.

And, you are a fantastic author! The characterization of Shikamaru and Naruto are outstanding! You mak ethem that much more believable and you keep them in character, adn that's hard to do. I also like how you portrayed the relationship between the different characters, whether they be Naruto and Team 7 or Shikamaru and Kakashi. It was well written over all. And your ideas are so cool.

The plot and the development of the characters are well paced adn intriging. Personally I can't believe that you don't have more reviews and whatnot, I mean this is undoubtably one of the best Naruto stories i have ever read and it makes me giddy in anticipation of the next chapter. I can't wait until you update, this story is just flat out awesome, and i really congragualte you on your awesome story and i'm not too sure what other compliments i could give without repeating myself excessively.
