| Twinchy chapter 1 . 12/26/2008
Very well written and moving me to tears.
I liked the lady in the book store very much; she really must have been fond of Dean to 'sell' him that expensive a book as a gift for his brother - and put some comics in for him, too.
There's only one tiny, little thing I don't agree about in this lovely tale (no offence, please): I have a hard time believing Bobby wouldn't have spoiled John's kids rotten (both of them) gift-wise if they stayed at his over Christmas, particularly at that age. IMHO there's just no way he would have allowed for Dean of all people to find not a single present beneath the tree. Just my two cents, of course.
The fact that Sammy treasured the book he received years ago from his older brother, despite numerous undoubtedly generous offers, made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I wonder if they ever visited the bookstore and the elderly owner again when they were at Bobby's?
I hope you had wonderful holidays too, Stacey, with lots of joy and friends and family.

Oh - this is so bitter-sweet. My heart just aches for weeDean in this! And Sam, even at 25, so willing to believe that Dean had simply stolen the book. Have a very happy holiday!
| SingleMinded chapter 1 . 12/23/2008
Aw... I wanna give Dean some hug...
Poor him. He deserve better than that.
| driver picks the music chapter 1 . 12/22/2008
Sam does a lot of crappy things sometimes, but you can always tell he loves his brother.
I loved this story, great job!
| Meggin Lane chapter 1 . 12/22/2008
Thank you for the wonderful heartfelt Christmas gift. That was how it made me feel when I read this story. Like it was a gift; a little insight into a Christmas memeory that held the spirit of giving and a gift of love all rolled into one.
*and you got the "hug" reflex I always feel about Dean just right.
| sammygirl1963 chapter 1 . 12/22/2008

| sweetysmart0505 chapter 1 . 12/22/2008
How is Dean not able to read at 11-years-old?
Really cute story. Love the brotherly love, and love hearing about Dean's self-esteem issues. It's tragic. Great job!
