This isn't my favorite of your stories. Eric really caused all of the drama. And having her wear a slutty dress while he made the announcement by her side in a much more formal tuxedo was in such bad taste, to be honest. Sure, he had her "real" dress that he intended for her to wear after midnight...after the formal announcement had been made and everyone present already saw her. It doesn't make sense. He could have punished her in another way, or at another time. And he thought she would be irresistible to Victor in the latex dress, but then fussed about how badly she stunk in it? I don't know, the whole thing is just off.
Sookie made me cringe too, hugging Bill in public when she knows she is on display. I would have hoped that she would have grown more than that within this story.

I've read the Let Love In stories multiple times over the years and I've always loved them. This time I find myself very bothered by Eric's decision to have Sookie wear the latex dress. I know that they had agreed she would wear something of "his choosing" and sit with him at Fangtasia - and on any *regular* night, - I wouldn't have a problem with the latex dress.

But on THIS NIGHT - HE is dressed in a *tuxedo* and everyone else was told semi-formal attire and he is formally presenting her to Area 5 as his bonded. And he has her dressed like a fangbanger. Perhaps a slightly better level of fangbanger - but a skintight latex dress with no underwear is never classy. He marks her like a fangbanger too. How are the vampires of Area 5 supposed to think of her as anything but a fuck and feed that he has decided to keep? They will have no respect for her.

Don't get me wrong - I still absolutely adore the Let Love In series. It's one of my all time favorite stories in this FF, I just find myself very disappointed in Eric's behavior in this one chapter.

I finished reading LLI yesterday and finished this one today. I love this story! I cant believe all the detail and characters you've created in Isle Elena. Soo amazing!

I still have a hard time having patience with Sookie. She is so different from me and sometimes I cant understand her patience with her exes. I understand she doesnt want Quinn dead but she excuses his behaviour at the party! Damn, Eric is one patient vamp.

I really liked the story of the man who brushed his worries off on the tree then picked them up again as he left. Great ending spot.

It sounds like Sandy may be an ally in the future. He's pegged it right, I'm sure Sookie will want to talk to Quinn.

It's "hilarious" how Eric loves to degrade and demean Sookie. He even bought a trashy whore dress just to make her look as cheap and degraded as he possibly could so that he could look like a he-man to his little vampire buddies because they're far more important that Sookie's pride, self-respect, and dignity.

God I can't stand your misogynistic version of Eric. He actually thinks he owns and has the right to control Sookie and she doesn't leave his sorry ass? Why? He's so abusive that it's pathetic! He doesn't want her to refer to herself as a slut fangbanging whore but he wants to parade her around looking like one? WTF is his problem?
