Hermione's parents mention that she didn't see them for two years before meeting up with them and altering their memories. I assume that was from the summer of the World Cup through the summer following Dumbledore's death. I thought she had gone home to recover after the DoM debacle. I guess not, unless you've changed that.

I have often wondered if she skipped summers and holidays with her parents because of Ron. He certainly had no use for Muggles, even if they were Hermione's parents. I don't think he actively hated them, like Draco. I do think he thought them unimportant and saw no use for them in his life; hence, he believed Hermione no longer needed them in her life. After all, she was magical and they were not. What was the point? I think Ron and Molly, in particular, were instrumental in keeping Hermione sequestered in the magical world.

I do believe Hermione believed her actions were necessary, even though they were high-handed and more than a little disrespectful. But this is a facet of her character we have seen before (Firebolt, third year), and she seems to have learned it from a master ... Dumbledore. I'm surprised that she would use such tactics for a couple of reasons. First, she knew how hurt, angry, and betrayed Harry had felt in third year as a result of her actions. Second, she knew how much ongoing anger he still held against Dumbledore for robbing him of choices about his own life and never asking his input.

I realize Hermione was only acting out of fear for her parents' safety. However, robbing them of their choices showed a lack of respect. Still, she was only a teen and was faced with trying to protect her parents from almost certain torture and death. They were far more important, in the overall scheme of things, than the Dursleys were; yet no one thought to protect them in the same way. It must be conceded that Hermione though she was doing the best thing.

I believe that, had it not been for the Weasleys, Harry and Hermione would have left immediately for Oz. Both were trying to do too much, attempting to heal damage they couldn't heal, and we saw the effect Molly was having on both. It's good they finally left. It will be interesting to see if they can do better with Hermione's family.

I may have liked more triad interaction, but I still liked reading it!

This is such a beautiful story. I really love how Harry, Hermione, and Luna are all equal members of this trio and that Harry pushed for them to be three couples united into one amazingly strong trio. So often it seems as if trio stories focus on one partner and you managed to avoid that.

This was a lovely story. I am pretty sure that I have read it before; the Heart's Home concept of a garden that helps one deal with emotions and them turning into rocks is unique in HP fanfiction, I think. These characters put so much hard work in their relationship. If everyone did the same divorce would be less common.

I loved The entire story from beginning to end

Wow I really hate Hermione's parents in this story.

They make everything about themselves and the supposed obligations of a daughter towards her parents. You're daughter got estranged from you because reasons? Boo-fucking-hoo. Yes what Hermione did to them was terrible, but I really wanted her to stand up for herself. There are so many shades of grey in this situation, but her parents only focus on their perceived sleight towards them. They behave like tyrants who demand supplication. Their provisio that Hermione has to stay with them for any potential forgiveness is another symptom for their crappy idea of a family. Interpreting the successful appeasement of such petty people as "love" seems really fucked up - poor Hermione. What the Granger family defines as family love seems to be entirely confined to functional units and their obligations.

I actually really loved the Belladona and Sebastian stories by Anne Bishop. I love what you did with having Luna and her mother having Heart's Home gardens and Harry just wandering in and feeling at peace there. Great job. Isn't it amazing how characters take on a life of their own and just do something so unexpected and yet so right for themselves?! Thanks for sharing your ideas. I would love to see a one shot sequel of about 10-20 years later to see what had developed between them, the Weasleys and what has been accomplished with the computer Harry was developing, and where Flitwick is in all this. Did they bother getting their NEWTs?
