| superwriter1234 chapter 64 . 12/6/2014
I am quite sure this is the best thing I have ever read. And I read a LOT.
| Fullmetal11791 chapter 23 . 12/23/2013
"I can understand why he killed those Healers, though I cannot approve vigilantism," the black Auror continued. "I didn't much like Armstrong either, and I figured Greyback made Remus kill him in order to burn his bridges with us."
Um. The Order of the Phoenix is a group of vigilantes. That's why it's a secret that almost no one knows about. Just sayin. The Aurors who joined the group were breaking the law anytime they did a task for it.
| Luiz4200 chapter 64 . 7/15/2012
It'd be awkward naming that child Ted given that was the plan for the one they lost. The new child might have developed a complex thinking he was just a substitute.
| Trins xxx chapter 2 . 3/11/2012
I thought Remus was maybe a little too passive, at least initially in the chapter, but I loved the line where 'he refused to be bested by a board'. I have to admit that, even in July, I can't imagine many people surfing around here, but Tonks does seem like the kind of witch who would.
| Trins xxx chapter 1 . 3/11/2012
What a great start. I do like the characterisation here - Tonks not being a total drag or whiney girl, the both of them actually having a mature, considerate discussion about the ramifications of their relationship. I love this aspect of them (that was totally nonexistent in the HP books) and I can't wait to see how you develop them further.
I have my fingers crossed that they'll survive the Big Battle (and won't make Harry the bloody godfather!).
| CajinAsian chapter 64 . 2/26/2012
Finally a Remus story without him moaning about doing Harry wrong. Good job.
| The Phoenix Order chapter 64 . 10/24/2011
Okay, I know you wrote this story forever ago, but I only just found it, and it's amazing! You should do a follow-up someday, even if it's just a short little one about Lupin and Tonks' new family.
You are seriously an amazing writer, and this story is awesome. Keep on writing your amazing stuff!
| ElusiveMuse89 chapter 64 . 10/11/2011
I LOVED this story! It was an amazing AU, and even more so because of the fact that you were able to stick to the main idea of the books, even after changing a few details. Remus is my favorite character, and he doesn't get near enough attention in the books in my opinion.
| TheColdFlame chapter 64 . 4/30/2011
This is one of the best alternate war stories I have read. I like how you've kept everything that happened with Ron, Harry and Hermionie but managed to change allot of the background story without effecting it. I really love the werewolf colony, and Jack was really sad [ Anyways, sorry this was my only review, this was really brilliant. Love it, I love Remus in this so much.
| iceicetiger chapter 64 . 1/19/2011
Amazing story! I loved it!
Werewolves are one of my favorite creatures, and it seemed like they were never given proper attention jn the books. Thank you for paying attention to them!
| Psyco101 chapter 64 . 1/9/2011
This was an amazing story, and though it was indeed darker, I liked the ending better, lol (mostly due to the fact that Lupin is one of my favorite characters!) I'm glad everything worked out well in the end.

It had been transformed into a memorial to Severus Snape, Dumbledore's spy among the Death Eaters. The building had been repaired and surrounded by red lilies. Despite his old rivalry with the former professor, Lupin found it rather touching.
-Yes. What a lovely place for Snape where he was nearly murdered, nearly murdered, and finally murdered.
But it's more consideration that Dumbledore ever gave his strongest pawn, so Snape, no doubt, should be grateful for it. And rivalry? Lupin never has been able to do guilt very well for his part in helping the Marauders torment Snape.
Hey, but life is wonderful and glorious for Remus now. He can afford to be generous now, finally having the last word.
Oh-who's brewing the Wolfbane? The people that Snape trained, I expect. Here's hoping someone remembers that part.
Beautiful story, though.

"I would like to be Defense Against the Dark Arts professor at Hogwarts again."
-Ah yes, where someone will have to do his work for him one week out of four. Perhaps he'll make sure all the other werewolves there take their potions, too, and have better precautions than the Shack, where anybody who knew the secret of how to get in could be served up en brochette.
He does have justice on his side; although some of his werewolves are murderers to the core.
Then again, Rowling let Lucius Malfoy walk because he was rich and pretty, so why not?
Good chapter, and Lupin is very good at politics, especially now that he's finally found his backbone, and his pack.
| excessivelyperky chapter 62 . 10/31/2010
Good chapter. Negotiating with the Order is a little bit easier without 'Greater Good' Dumbledore there to make promises that somehow never end up getting fulfilled; Shacklebolt will make fewer promises, but will end up keeping his side of things.
I know you don't address this, but I still wonder what happened to the Slytherins McGonagall exiled from the castle, with all those werewolves around who weren't under Lupin's direct control.

Good-Voldemort is dead, the good guys survive, Tonks and Remus can live happily ever after, and the Greasy Git of the Dungeons is now conveniently dead and so it doesn't matter that he was a hero. What more could anyone ask?
