ChlynarA chapter 1 . 8/1/2021 Oh my God. This is a very unique story for skip beat fanfiction! Well done! Very well written and thoughtful. I've been Reading the manga since maybe around 15 or 16 years ago, but i had dropped it at some time because the waiting was killing me. And now i read it again, trying to catch up with the manga, and ofc, the fanfictions, and i found yours. Love it so much. Thx for writing this. |

Scar1etSki3s chapter 1 . 12/3/2020 Hi, It’s been nearly 12 years since you posted this and five since I last read it, but I just found it again while waiting for the newest chapter of Skip Beat!(which is never going to end at this point) . I wanna clarity that I’ve been checking for both the manga update, Skip Beat!’s been around the back of my mind, but snippets from your fic have been flirting through head, so I had to go look through other Skip Beat! fanfics to find your specific one. Anyway, I mention that because I remember this fanfic being a game changer for me and setting the bar for all other Skip Beat! fanfics. Having found and re-read it, I love it all over again, even more so than I had the first time a read it since I hadn’t read much back then to compare it to. I hadn’t even known what a bishounen was back then, and I don’t think I could’ve read more then twenty fanfics of every sort. But now years later, reading this, The History of Color is so in tune to the characters, and how they feed off each other and flip between characters for fun that it just brings the very essence of Skip Beat! to life. I’ve loved the manga since I found it, and what you’ve written makes me grateful from my heart that something like this exists. Grammatically, syntactically, stylistically, your one-shot is a masterpiece, and I loved every second of their character-switch-off. Skip Best!’s about actors portraying characters, and it just means so much to me that this fic explores that so deeply that it doesn’t even portray the actors as themselves. Like, that’s what Skip Beat!’s AbOuT, and my heart just warmed having found, then re-found, a fic that portrays my favorite manga’s heart. I felt it was so good that it was almost like it was and actual, canonical continuation of Skip Beat! I reread it and just wanted to hell you how much I valued this fic and that I am so grateful that it exists and that it’s absolutely marvelous. With admiration and gratitude, Scar1etSki3s P.S. I love rereading when knowing that Nanako knows who the couples are and that she’s looking at these two famous actors and figuring out or making up backgrounds based on their interactions and looks. That was one of my favorite parts of this fic. It adds another layer of creativity to this magical fic that I really enjoyed. Also, I loved the notes of backstory you gave Meiko that made her relatable and amusing as well, especially when imagining being faced with Tsuruga Ren’s notorious good looks. P.P.S. Also, I lovedddddd that Meiko didn’t realize the couple’s identities from Kyoko. Something in me just swelled with pride that our girl made it and surpassed her senpai in chameleon acting skills. Loved it so much. But also, if Ren hadn’t smiled right in her face, Meiko might not have known. |
Guest chapter 1 . 9/28/2020 OMG! ️️️ how cute was that story! Loved it, especially the ending! |
Riddhi chapter 1 . 8/24/2018 This was so cute! I loved the concept. This also totally feels like something Ren and Kyoko would do! I'd love to read more about the domestic nature of their relationship once it's estabilished :D |
Assassel chapter 1 . 4/27/2018 Very nice. I enjoyed this so story so much. Telling the story on an onlooker's point of view. Can't stop laughing especially on the BL and man-eater part. Lol. |
Winterlily chapter 1 . 9/14/2017 Amazing... Except for a few spelling mistakes and typos it is written really well. And I do mean REALLY well. Loved the story and how each character was portrayed. Even Nanako's character was well fleshed out, considering that she was a supporting character with no more than a couple of lines in each scene. Masterfully done. Keep up the good work. |
Kratzbesen chapter 1 . 8/25/2017 Haha, this was a great fanfiction! :) |
link55-06 chapter 1 . 7/15/2017 I cannot express how much I love this fic! Thank you for writing this superb fic! |
HoshiNoTsuya chapter 1 . 2/22/2017 At first I had to re-check this was a Skip Beat fanfiction. The more I read the more it made sense. I totally see Ren and Kyoko doing this in the future. I kind of wish this was a longer story. Nicely done :D |
lici.catt chapter 1 . 12/14/2016 Amazing work, it's been a long time since I've a fanfic this good! |
Hopewords chapter 1 . 9/8/2016 I know you are probably done with this story, but it would be really funny to hear Kyoko and Ren's POV to this story. It would also be fun if you continued on to show how the waitress reacted in the future, if she imporved her acting skills, if the two veteran actors gave her subtle advice. Great Job! |
MangoPeanutSituation chapter 1 . 8/9/2016 Great work! |
Guest chapter 1 . 7/20/2016 Oh my goodness, I did not see that ending coming. And I can actually see Ren and Kyoko acting in a restaurant. Awesome story - I love your writing style! :) |
