Bloody brilliant! I think Snape's continual requests for the job are a combination of masochism and the opportunity to rag on Dumbledore once again. Given how bad Dumbledore's choices are, the opportunity must have been too much to pass up for Snape. Love how you've managed to capture Snape's character and breath further life into it!

You're right, it was rather maudlin there at the end... but how could it not be?

I'm conflicted. I'm disappointed that there wasn't more hem-hem time... and befuddled that I would ever say such a thing.

I'd hoped for more Alastor time, maybe a Jr.-tell, but fun all the same.
