| JamieDidn'tDieInCulloden chapter 1 . 4/26/2012
You shouldn't have done that, Holmes.
| Miss Fenway chapter 1 . 1/6/2010
That was... sad. I'm sorry about your brother. I will pray for him. :)
| Baroness Emma chapter 1 . 4/7/2009
Ah, how sweet!
Holmes truly caring about Watson is so nice to see, and the intricacies of Victorian English friendship come quite through here. Holmes couldn't possibly SAY anything, but it would be utterly dishonorable if he didn't DO anything, and so he does the only thing he can.
Again, very sweet.
And the Sudoku made me smile - cute detail!
| Angst Is My Middle Name chapter 1 . 2/17/2009
Beautiful story, and the song is as well. I listened to it for the first time after reading this story. And I love that Holmes does Sudoku. It kind of makes me giggle.
| shedoc chapter 1 . 1/26/2009
suduko was not popular in england in the 1800's. the likelihood of that piece of music being known to holmes is also slim
| aragonite chapter 1 . 1/8/2009
Chilling, then unbearably sad...and then uplifting and poignant.
| AmatorLinguae chapter 1 . 1/7/2009
That was beautiful in both concept and expression. I'll keep your brother in my prayers.
| Wirral Bagpuss chapter 1 . 1/7/2009
Awh poor Watson, but what a lovely tribute to soldiers everywhere, and of course Watson was a soldier ! :) Lovely story and very moving too.
| KCS chapter 1 . 1/7/2009
Wow, that was powerful. I love 'How Firm a Foundation', and it was so perfect here. And sweet of Holmes to be so concerned and do something helpful about it!
LOL to his maniacal fly-executing. *snicker* And he plays Sudoku! :D
