I honestly quite ache and feel for Draco. I really feel for Draco :(

And...I'm adding the Nott's to my guess because of the Jean Valjean bit. They're worldly enough for wizards to have come across the name, I figure. And, you know, the whole "My sister and her child were close to death! They were starving-" "You will starve again! Till you learn the meaning of the law-" "I know the meaning of those nineteen years a slave of the law."

Seems kinda fitting. Nott's in prison, the older bro's dead. Although they aren't starving...that would still be Goyle. Hm. Two guesses then.

Or the Lestranges again. They sure fit that Jean Valjean imagery, don't they... :P

Goyle's still pretty shifty, even if the tone of the blackmailer's letter seems more Rodolphous-y to me. I don't think Rabastan would use pictures of himself to blackmail Draco...although he's so nuts you never know...

I'm going to stick with Goyle as of now.

Hermione, you idiot. I was just giving Draco shit, and now you go and pull this stunt with Charlie. *sigh* Some people's kids, man. :P

Hai! Okay, so I know you've explained already the whole reason why Draco's still got Carrie around, and I get you; but part of me is still scratching my head...I mean, this blackmailer knows he's seeing Hermione, knows how cut off a piece of his mother's hair off her head...and somehow Draco doesn't think this guy'll notice a prostitute continuing to swing by his place on the weekly?

I mean, Draco, guy, you're practically asking to be blackmailed now. :P

This is not to hate on the story. It's just one part that has me a little squicked-I'm of the mindset where, if you've basically told the world you're in love with someone, especially if you actually are interested in that someone, maybe stop seeing prostitutes... :P

But rest assured, I still love this story. Just thought I'd share some more thoughts. Cheers!

I know this story is long since completed, but just for the sake of putting random guesses out there, I feel like Goyle's the one blackmailing Draco-he needs the money, his mom's trying to get into Draco's pants, the girl he fancies has loved Draco for forever...maybe that's an obvious guess, maybe you're setting up a red herring, maybe I'm overthinking my guess. :P But the way Goyle asks what this is all about, makes me feel like he's trying to evaluate Draco's state of mind following the renewed blackmail. And going after Draco's mom seems like a natural response to the wink Goyle might have caught at the dinner party earlier.

Maybe. :P

But really, fabulous writing. Can't wait to see what happens next. Cheers!

I love the ending. It's pretty open-ended, but at the same time realistic. I also think that it's hilarious that it seems like Draco has pretty much forgotten that he has at least one point five mil galleons squirrelled away. I still have a lot of questionswill Hermione figure out how to fix Cruciatus symptoms? Will Evan and Sheetal become an item? What will happen if Samaya and Cassie meet? How will Luna and Caleb, Blaise and Daphne, or Ron and Daphne work out? Who will replace Hermione as the next Head of House Slytherin? (I'm hoping it will be Luna, as that would be hilarious.)

I really enjoyed this universe. It's going into my you for your hard work and congratulations on your success in completing a story, and being a mum!

I took a screenie of Draco's feelings and sent it to my boyfriend. It's just so right.

I am surprised and pleased by the Ron/Draco dynamic here. So many Dramione fics are Ron-bashing, and a lot more have Harry being more tolerant of Draco, with Draco and Ron barely managing to be civil, if at all. This is rare and precious.

I love this Ron, he's adorable. Kind of makes me want to send him to Daphne, just to see what happens when he comes across her knockers. Leeeeeelzzzd

This feeling of Draco's... I am so pleased with it. I used to be polyamorous (so I used to have multiple partners at once) and I am still bisexual (so I find both men and women attractive, theoretically). But ever since I got together with my current boyfriend I've lost all interest in other people. He's totally not my usual type (my usual type would be the Dracos and Daphnes of the world, he's more of a Remus or a Nevilleand yet nobody is attractive at all, except for him, and the longer I'm with him, the more that is true. I fell for him far faster than I expected or wanted, and I ended up wanting him to the exclusion of all others. Anyway long story short, I feel Draco so much right now. Kudos for such a realistic portrayal!

Right now I'm imagining Draco to have Zuko's voice. I don't know why. Maybe because if you replace "uncle" with "sister" his lines are definitely similar to Zuko's...
