Wow. Not only are you writing a fanfic for a show that rarely gets a good one, you're making it into a romance, even more difficult to accomplish. But damn, are you pulling it off. I love the idea of Jack and Renee together and think it may likely happen by the end of the show, but trying to write a fanfic for them? A bold task indeed. You can tell Renee wears her emotions on her sleeve in the show, but expressing them in words seems to be difficult for her. And Jack Bauer? He may just be the most difficult character to read (emotionally) on TV right now, and hasn't really shown any outward romantic emotions in years. What you're doing here showing the emotions of these two is very difficult to pull off, but you’re doing it with flying colors. This romance has quite a bit of angst, but you're not writing for the Gilmore Girls here and its good you recognize that. It's hard for me to see Jack saying some of the things you have him saying, but that's likely because, as I said, we haven't seen any real outward romantic emotions from him in years. I'm having a little trouble seeing Kim's character the way you are writing her, especially after seeing what happened with her character at the end of season 7, but it does fits perfectly to the inner conflict you have Jack going through. I am also very impressed by your writing style and attention to detail; honestly, I don't think I've seen a typo anywhere in this story, which shows the effort you're putting in here.

You have the potential to do something great here, whether you have this story end in tragedy for one or both of them before or after the baby comes, or if you pull off a happy ending with the two of them, which could lead you to sequels if you chose to write about their adjustment between work and family life if you so chose. Whatever you do, I will be watching with a keen interest. A, excellent job, please keep up the good work.

I really like the way this story is developing. It is obvious you are giving it a lot of thought and are true to the character development of both Renee and Jack. Each chapter ends just right, wanting you to know more and anxious for the next episode. Keep up the good work! We are on the edge of our seats!

exciting can't wait for the next chapter. Likes this story. Theres a lot of angst though. It seems like the moment something good happens to them or they make up something changes that right away or they fight. It's kind of exhausting. Does there have to be something wrong ALL the time.

The push/pull you have going here is terrific. It really sets up the whole "can't stay together or stay apart" thing that gives the story so much dramatic tension. Keep it up!

Have I told you how much I absolutely and totally LOVE this story to no end! I love everything, how you portray Jack and Renee, even Kim. Although I'm partial to the new, sincere Kim, I love how you have shaped her for this story, it fits so well. I love the combination of angst yet romance. Honestly, this is by far my favorite Jack/Renee fic, and I'm always anxiously awaiting the next chapters! Please don't stop writing! I LOVE IT! YOU ARE AMAZING!

What's wrong with Renee

I'm really enjoying this story. I think the arguments are real realistic to the characters, I can just see them there yelling at each other! Everything better be ok with that baby though, I might just cry otherwise.
